Acer TravelMate 2424 NWXCi Notebook PC
Acer has introduced its new TravelMate 2424 NWXCi notebook PC in India, which is powered by Intel Celeron M 380 1.6 GHz processor and is fully equipped with Wireless connection.
The new Acer TravelMate 2424NWXCi is a slightly modified version of its earlier introduced TravelMate 2423 notebook PC, which is small in size, measuring 33.5 L x 24 B x 3.4 H cm and is reasonably lightweight at about 2.4 kg with battery and it comes with free Linux OS.

Intel Launches Core 2 Duo Desktop Processor and Core 2 Extreme Processor
Intel has today unveiled Core 2 Duo desktop processor and Core 2 Extreme processor in India.
According to Intel, the new Core 2 Duo desktop processor would deliver improve performance, increase energy efficiency and provide improved system performance, while the Core 2 Extreme processor is designed to provide enhanced performance for games and advanced digital media creation applications.
New Intel Core 2 Duo processors are built using Intel’s 65-nanometer silicon process technology and according to Intel, the desktop PC based on Core 2 Duo would offers up to a 40 percent increase in performance, and is over 40 percent more energy-efficient than its predecessor.
The Core 2 Duo series comprises five desktop PC processors targeted at the business, home, enthusiasts, and gaming segments. Core 2 Duo-based workstations are aimed at areas including design, content creation, and technical computing.

Sony Launches DVDdirect VRD-MC1 DVD Recorder
Sony has launched a new DVD recorder, VRD-MC1, in India which can transfer home video footage in real-time from a camcorder to a DVD media without requiring a PC.
The new DVD recorder also allows recording of digital still images directly from memory cards to DVD media as a slideshow for playback on most home DVD players and PC DVD-ROM drives, without requiring a PC.
