Acer has introduced Intel Celeron M 370 based notebook viz. TravelMate 2423/2403 in Indian market at starting price of INR 29,999.

Samsung launches world’s slimmest mobile phone
Samsung has introduced, as it claims, the world’s slimmest mobile phone, with an inbuilt MP3 player at the Sviaz ExpoComm 2006, technology show in Moscow on Wednesday.
The new wafer-thin mobile phone from Samsung, the SGH-X820, is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs only 66 grams, according to the company.
The SGH-X820 comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, a sophisticated MP3 player and Bluetooth.
The company claims that the Samsung `ultra-slim phone` has set a record in the mobile handset history by breaking the wall of seven-millimetre thickness for the first time in the world.
HP Launches New Notebook Computers
PC manufacturer, HP has launced seven new notebooks on May 9 expanding it’s laptop range of machines in a very big way.
Five of these systems are business laptops and the remaining two are consumer laptops showcasing new and sleek designs.
The new HP Pavilion dv2000 and the Compaq Presario V3000 will sport a new piano high-gloss finish.
HP dv2000 is a 14.1-inch widescreen computer that weighs about 5.4lbs. The dv2000 features either an Intel Core Duo processor or AMD Turion X2 dual core 64-bit processor.

Microsoft increases investment in advertising and search technology
Microsoft’s chief executive, Steven A. Ballmer, in a speech last Thursday said that company is planning to boost its investments in MSN and other online ventures like windows-live initiatives to $1.6 billion next year in a bid to catch Google, which currently dominates the search market.
Capital spending and research outlays will rise 60 percent in the year that starts July 1 from a projected $1 billion this year, Ballmer indicated in his speech to many advertisers at the company’s headquarters here.
Seagate Launches 750GB Hard Drive
