Toshiba Qosmio F20 Multimedia Notebook With DVD Writer
Toshiba, Japan’s leading notebook PC manufacturer, has recently lauched its multimedia notebook, Qosmino F20, with Intel Centrino Mobile technology with an Intel Pentium M processor 750 and featuring Intel PRO/Wireless (802.11b/g) for easy wireless connectivity to the Internet.
Toshiba Qosmio F20 notebook is a four-in-one digital notebook featuring a 450NIT (2lamps) High Luminance Clear SuperView 15.4-inch wide-screen display capably of 1,280 x 800 pixels of resolution, down from G20’s 17-inch 1,440 x 900-pixel resolution. It also comes with integrated TV tuner, digital video recorder (DVR), DVD SuperMulti double layer drive, virtual surround-sound stereo speakers.
Toshiba Qosmio F20 notebook PC comes with three USB 2.0 and one FireWire port. The standard 5-in-1 card reader is able to handle most flash cards in the market. Network connectivity is handled by the ethernet port, modem and wireless card that can link with 802.11b and 802.11g routers.
Asus J206 iPod Style Music Phone
Asus, the motherboard major has introduced, J206, a mobile phone which features full portable music playback including MP3/AAC/WAV music file format support.
Asus J206 is capable of 12 hours of playback time, has 60 MB of internal memory, and a microSD slot which allows up to 2 GB memory expansion for more music on the phone.
The Asus J206 seems to be so heavily inspired by iPod design that it has the iPod click-wheel interface almost copied, right down to the icons and placement.

9.2 Million Indians Expected To Seek Jobs Online By 2007
According to a report by IAMAI, India’s online job seeking population grew by 71 percent from 3.8 million in 2004-05 to 6.5 million in 2005-06. The IAMAI report puts the market size of the Indian online recruitment industry at $32.9 million.
According to a study conducted by Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), about 100 million Indians are expected to use the Internet by 2007-08 from the present 38.5 million. As a result, the number of online job seekers is expected to cross 9.2 million this year (2006-07).
IAMAI President Subho Ray suggests that there are enough reasons as well to search for a plum job on the net.
“Internet is the most immediate, convenient and comprehensive resource for employment seekers to research for jobs and careers and the online job sites apart from offering a huge data bank offer myriad of tools both job seekers and employers,” asserts IAMAI President Subho Ray.

Nokia 6708 Smartphone With Stylus

Nvidia Unveils Dual-GPU Card - GeForce 7950 GX2
Nvidia, the graphic card manufacturer, has launched its new dual-G71-GPUs based graphic card package, the GeForce 7950 GX2, today.
The Nvidia 7950 GX2 has two mobile GPUs (graphic processing units) which run in parallel across an internal connector, offering what Nvidia claims is the best single card performance on any graphic card package in the world.
The Nvidia 7950 GX2 is still two cards mounted together but Nvidia has had to do some tweaking in order for both to work together within this form factor.
The two chips are on two separate PCBs and are cooled by two separate coolers, much as with the 7900 GX2 Quad-SLI cards.
$100 OLPC Laptop Advances Closer To Launch
Nicholas Negroponte, cofounder of MIT’s Media Lab and head of the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) nonprofit organization, said that the laptop, originally estimated to cost $100, would probably cost closer to $135 to $140 by the time it is actually launched.
The research project at the MIT Media Lab had a plan for getting $100 laptops in the hands of millions of children in the developing and underdeveloped world. India is one of the seven countries world-wide selected for the launch of the project, scheduled for April next year.
One notable feature is a hand crank for providing power in places where electricity is undependable or unavailable.
The rugged, 2-pound laptop will be able to make its price goal, Negroponte said, not only by emphasizing essentials but also by eliminating sales and marketing costs that commercial computers have.
Toshiba Launches MK2035GSS 2.5-Inch 200-GB HDD
Toshiba Storage Device Division has announced a new 2.5-inch 200GB HDD, MK2035GSS, based on Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR) technology using only two hard-disk platters. Toshiba plans to start mass production of the drive in August 2006.
Toshiba’s second-generation PMR offering features the worlds highest areal density at 178.8 gigabits per square inch (277.1 Mb per square mm) and the highest-capacity drive on the market in the standard 9.5mm mobile PC format.
The new Toshiba 2.5-inch MK2035GSS HDD also boosts of data capacity that is 1.67 times more than Toshiba’s highest capacity conventional 2.5-inch drive.
HP Launches StorageWorks Ultrium 960 Data Backup Tape Drive Systems
