Google Fast Flip Service For Newspapers And Magazine Articles launched
Google has today launched its new experimental service ‘Fast Flip‘ in Google Labs that allows users to flip through quickly news and articles from major newspapers and magazines from scores of major publishers on the net.
All pages in Google’s Fast Flip service are cached by Google as flat graphic files and therefore loads very quickly allowing users literary fast flipping through hundreds of pages to locate page which interest them most.
The Fast Flip user interface offers screenshots of the web pages containing relevant articles which on clicking leads to the original page.

D-Link Launches DPH-10U USB VoIP Phone
D-Link has announced in India the launch of D-Link DPH-10U, its VoIP phone system that plugs directly into USB port of any windows compatible desktop PC or notebook PC for making telephone calls over Internet using Skype and most of prevailing VoIP services.
The new D-Link DPH-10U VoIP phone has been designed for use with any Microsoft Windows XP/2000 based desktop or notebook PCs running the internet telephoney software Skype to make unlimited phone calls from their computers to another computer for free or to any analog landline or mobile number at a nominal extra charges.
The D-Link DPH-10U USB VoIP phone handset can still be used with any other application software (under Windows XP/2000) to make PC-to-PC Internet calls even if one is not subscribed to Skype service.
Philips Launch VOIP841 Skype Enabled Cordless Phone
Skype today announced a new cordless phones, the Philips VoIP841, that allows cheap calls using prevailing broadband connection, without requiring a computer and special software.
The Philips VoIP841 belongs to a new class of phone that enables Skype users to make and receive both Skype calls over the Internet and traditional landline calls, without a computer, and offers the added convenience of a cordless phone. Another such similar product in this class is the NETGEAR’s cordless phone for Skype.
Company claims that their new Skype enabled cordless phones like Philips VOIP841 offer increased mobility throughout the home or office, giving consumers the freedom and flexibility of not being tethered to their computer. Also, consumers with multiple cordless phone handsets in their home have the ability to hold separate conversations simultaneously – one on Skype, the second on the traditional line – each from a different handset.
9.2 Million Indians Expected To Seek Jobs Online By 2007
According to a report by IAMAI, India’s online job seeking population grew by 71 percent from 3.8 million in 2004-05 to 6.5 million in 2005-06. The IAMAI report puts the market size of the Indian online recruitment industry at $32.9 million.
According to a study conducted by Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), about 100 million Indians are expected to use the Internet by 2007-08 from the present 38.5 million. As a result, the number of online job seekers is expected to cross 9.2 million this year (2006-07).
IAMAI President Subho Ray suggests that there are enough reasons as well to search for a plum job on the net.
“Internet is the most immediate, convenient and comprehensive resource for employment seekers to research for jobs and careers and the online job sites apart from offering a huge data bank offer myriad of tools both job seekers and employers,” asserts IAMAI President Subho Ray.

Microsoft increases investment in advertising and search technology
Microsoft’s chief executive, Steven A. Ballmer, in a speech last Thursday said that company is planning to boost its investments in MSN and other online ventures like windows-live initiatives to $1.6 billion next year in a bid to catch Google, which currently dominates the search market.
Capital spending and research outlays will rise 60 percent in the year that starts July 1 from a projected $1 billion this year, Ballmer indicated in his speech to many advertisers at the company’s headquarters here.
