Asus has introduced in India the EN7950GX2/2PHT/1G dual-GPU graphics card which incorporates QUAD SLI and HDCP technologies and supports upto 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution on any standard desktop system.
The SLI-ready Asus EN7950GX2/2PHT/1G dual-GPU graphics card incorporates two GeForce 7950 GPU (graphic processor) on a single graphics card providing the horsepower needed to run the latest game software.
In addition, the dual-GPU graphics card is equipped with 512bit memory, 1GB DDR3 to deliver maximum display resolutions of up to 2560 x 1600 pixels.
ATI Launches ‘Boundless Gaming’, A CrossFire X1900 Multi-GPU Gaming Solution
ATI, the 3D graphics world leader is introducing the CrossFire X1900 multi-GPU solution, which gives gamers a choice of asymmetrical physics configurations, what ATI is calling “boundless gaming”.
The ATI ‘Boundless Gaming’ setup requires either one or two graphics cards for rendering, along with a separate graphics card dedicated for physics processing or so called environmental creator.
According to ATI, the “Boundless” refers to the open architecture that allows for different cards to be used in each role, so gamers can decide between various high and low end cards to handle various function.
Nvidia Unveils Dual-GPU Card - GeForce 7950 GX2
Nvidia, the graphic card manufacturer, has launched its new dual-G71-GPUs based graphic card package, the GeForce 7950 GX2, today.
The Nvidia 7950 GX2 has two mobile GPUs (graphic processing units) which run in parallel across an internal connector, offering what Nvidia claims is the best single card performance on any graphic card package in the world.
The Nvidia 7950 GX2 is still two cards mounted together but Nvidia has had to do some tweaking in order for both to work together within this form factor.
The two chips are on two separate PCBs and are cooled by two separate coolers, much as with the 7900 GX2 Quad-SLI cards.
ATI Releases Radeon Xpress 1100 Series Chipsets For Notebooks
Graphics card vendor ATI Tech has announced the introduction of the new Radeon Xpress 1100 series of chipsets aimed at providing longer battery life and better performance for today’s notebook computers.
The latest Radeon Xpress 1100 chipsets for notebooks from ATI promises support for AMD Turion 64 X2 technology, better battery life, a 33 percent faster graphics core, and support for Microsoft Windows Vista.
The ATI Radeon Xpress chipset deals with Mobile AMD Sempron, Mobile AMD Athlon 64, AMD Turion 64, AMD Turion 64 X2 processors, complying with Advanced Power Management settings.
