Microsoft To Launch Xbox 360 In India
As stated earlier , Microsoft has formally announced the launch of its next generation video gaming system, Xbox 360 for the Indian market in the pre-Diwali season this year
The Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console will be equipped with a 20-GB detachable shockproof hard disk drive for storing music, video and games and it features a Wireless Controller, a Media Remote control and a Component HD-AV Cable for connecting to component and composite television inputs, an Ethernet cable, and batteries.
Mohit Anand, country manager, Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division, India, said, “The timing for the launch of Xbox 360 couldn’t have been better. ATI Launches ‘Boundless Gaming’, A CrossFire X1900 Multi-GPU Gaming Solution
ATI, the 3D graphics world leader is introducing the CrossFire X1900 multi-GPU solution, which gives gamers a choice of asymmetrical physics configurations, what ATI is calling “boundless gaming”.
The ATI ‘Boundless Gaming’ setup requires either one or two graphics cards for rendering, along with a separate graphics card dedicated for physics processing or so called environmental creator.
According to ATI, the “Boundless” refers to the open architecture that allows for different cards to be used in each role, so gamers can decide between various high and low end cards to handle various function.
Microsoft Plans To Launch ‘Xbox 360′ Around Diwali 2006
Microsoft India today announced its plans to launch its next generation video gaming and entertainment system ‘Xbox 360′, in India later this year around Diwali and would set up a retail network for its distribution across 7 cities.
Mitch Koch, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices division, told reporters that Microsoft’s next generation gaming console ‘Xbox 360′ will be available for pre-order starting in June 2006, though actual delivery would commence by Nov or Dec 2006.
The company would set up 1,200 retail centres across 7 cities, including four metros, in the country, he said.
