HTC Desire 616 and Desire One (E8) Android Smartphone Arrives in India

The company HTC has launches two new smartphones viz. Desire 616 Dual SIM and Desire One (E8) Dual SIM – in the Indian market. The HTC Desire 616 Dual SIM and the HTC One (E8) Dual SIM will be available by the end of July 2014 with price of 16,900 and 34,900 respectively.

According to the Chialin Chang, Chief Financial Officer of HTC, almost all its new phones, except the top-end one range, are now made keeping the Indian consumer in mind.

“It is because India is not only an important market, but also a very strategic one for us. Chang said HTC knew that not everyone could afford the flagship phones and that was why it was launching phones offering great design and experience at lower price points too.”

These smartphones devices will be available in the market by the end of July 2014, and are targeted at the mid-price range segment.

The HTC Desire 616 is powered by 1.4Gz octa core processor and it has 1GB of RAM and 4 GB internal storage in addition to offering expandable storage of upto 32GB with a micro SD card.

HTC Desire 616 has an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash that can also record videos and 2MP front facing camera for video calling. The device has Bluetooth 4.0 , Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,GPS.GPRS/EDGE,and 3G,. The device is also powered by 2000mAh battery.

HTC Desire One (E8) smartphone features a 5-inch SLCD display with a full HD having 1080×1920 pixel resolution, which translates to a pixel density of 441pp and runs on latest Andriod 4.4.2 KitKat based operating version

HTC Desire One (E8) smartphone has an 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, and also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.The device supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with Direct and DLNA functionality; 4G LTE; 3G; GPRS/ EDGE; GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP; Micro-USB; and a 3.5mm audio jack.
