Panasonic Announces TouchBook CF-C2 Durable Convertable PC Designed for Rugged Outdoor Use

Panasonic has today introduced the Toughbook CF-C2, that is claimed to be one of the most durable and flexible business convertible PC designed to endure tough outdoor conditions for healthcare professionals, aviation technicians and automotive engineers.

The Toughbook CF-C2 take advantage of flexible design allowing it to be used in clamshell or tablet format and it runs Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system, making it the first PC to run Windows 8 OS.

The rugged CF-C2 can withstand drops of up to 76 cm and comes with a water resistant keyboard and touchpad and strengthened glass on the LCD.

Panasonic claims that the Toughbook CF-C2 convertable is designed for mobile workers who need to multi-task and have multiple ways of data input using a durable and flexible performance PC.

The device features a 12.5-inch capacitive 5-finger multi-touch display that can be used both in tablet and clamshell configuration while its display remains firm to touch as tablet using rugged enhanced triple hinge. The HD screen is powered by the IPS technology that allows user enjoy extra wide viewing angles and allows high contrast ratio and 500 cd/m2 high brightness along with offering a Panasonic anti-reflection layer for enhanced user experience.

The Panasonic CF-C2 convertable PC also comes with an ergonomic and removable, triangular hands-free strap that allows users to hold the device more firmly and easily and operate with one-hand in any position – portrait, landscape or anywhere in-between.

The rugged Panasonic CF-C2 convertable PC will be available in India by Jan 2013 for the price which is not yet revealed by company.
