Viewsonic has announced its first Android powered smartphone in India with launch of ViewPhone 3 smartphone, that features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and is a dual-SIM capable 3G ready smartphone.
The Viewsonic’s ViewPhone 3 is equipped with a 800 MHz Qualcomm single-processor processor with 512MB RAM and includes unspecified amount 512MB of internal storage in addition to up to 32GB expandable storage via microSD card slot.
ViewPhone 3 Android smartphone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and it features 3.5-inch HVGA TFT-LCD capacitive touchscreen display having 320 x 480 pixel resolution.
The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) capable smartphone is Quad-band GSM and 7.2 Mbps HSDPA 3G network ready handset that offers GPRS/EDGE, WiFi 802.11b/g/N, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and also features microUSB port for wired connectivity, charging and internet tethering.
The ViewPhone 3 comes equipped with a built-in GPS with A-GPS functionality and includes 5 megapixel rear-facing auto-focus camera with video recording capability but does not offer any front-facing camera for video calling and there is no built-in LED flash either.
Other features of this smartphone includes a 3.5mm audio port, Gravity sensor, E-compass, Accelerometer sensor, and ViewSonic’s own 3D display technology.
The ViewSonic’s ViewPhone 3 Android smartphone comes with 1500 mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery and would soon be available across India for the price of Rs. 9,900 with 1-year warranty.
