Lava an Indian mobile phone manufacturer has announced the launch of XOLO X900 that is the world’s first Intel Atom processor based smartphone in the world featuring a single core 1.6 GHz Intel ATOM processor with hyper threaded technology accompanied with graphics powered by a single 400 MHz GPU.
Dubbed as first phone with ‘Intel Inside’, the Lava XOLO X900 smartphone packs 1.6 GHz Atom Z2460 processor with Intel Hyper Threading Technology and supporting HSPA+ 3G connectivity.
Micro-SIM card compatible XOLO X900 mobile features a 400 MHz PowerVR SGX540 GPU and a 32-bit Dual channel LPDDR2 memory graphics processor that is capable of full 1080p HD video encoding and playback make this phone a perfect entertainment device.
The Lava XOLO X900 features a large 4.03-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display having 1024 x 600 pixel resolution accompanied by a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera capable of video recording, plus a primary 8-megapixel rear-facing camera having 3264 x 2448 pixel still picture resolution which is also burst-shot photography capable that allows 10 pictures to be captured in under a second. The 8MP camera also offers digital zoom and integrated LED flash.
Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, with a planned over-the -air software upgrade to Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich platform shortly thereafter, the Lava Xolo X900 smartphone includes 1GB internal RAM and has microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory.
For data connectivity, the device offers HSPA+3G connectivity, GPRS/EDGE, Blurtooth 2.0 + A2DP, WiFi, and microUSB port. It also packs HDMI digital out port, 3.5 mm audio out port and is NFC (Near Field Comm) enabled.
Intel’s technology enables a high-performance user experience while maintaining great battery life allowing users up to 5 hours of 3G browsing, 45 hours of audio and 8 hours of talk time.

Intel has further plans to launch a number of other smartphones in partnership with Motorola, Lenovo and Orange later this year.
The Lava XOLO X900 smartphone will be available to customers for purchase from Croma store and Xolo.in site, beginning 23rd April at a best-buy street price of approximately Rs. 22,000 with warranty.
