Samsung has announced on Monday that company hope to unveil third- generation of Galaxy series Galaxy S III smartphone on 3rd May 2012 in London sparking hopes that it could be the company’s successor to the popular Galaxy SII smartphone.
Samsung has sold over 40 million Galaxy brand smartphone devices since its launch in June 2010 and it also helped Samsung became the world’s top smartphone maker last year on the back of strong sales of Galaxy lineups.
The second-generation Galaxy S series smartphone, the Galaxy S II was released in late April 2011 and is still selling like hot cake.
Samsung dominates in the high-end smartphone market along with Apple Inc’s iPhone, and is estimated earlier this month that its first-quarter operating profit would hit a record 5.8 trillion Korean won all due to the strong sales of Galaxy series smartphones across the globe.
Samsung Galaxy S III Smartphone will have to show something truly spectacular if Samsung wants to top the Tegra 3 powerhouses from HTC.
Samsung has already started sending out invites for the launch of the next Galaxy S III smartphone, which is slated for May 3 in London.
The invite doesn’t give any details about the upcoming device(s) — it merely says “come and meet the next Galaxy.”
