HTC has launched in India market the new HTC SALSA Smartphone featuring a dedicated Facebook button that allows users one-touch access to the key functions of the Facebook service that are integrated throughout the HTC Sense experience.
Unveiled initially to the work at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) Feb, 2011 the new HTC SALSA Android powered smartphone, along with earlier announced HTC ChaCha smartphone is built entirely to be social networking phone, combining the HTC Sense user interface with the power and connectivity of Facebook via a unique touch-sensitive dedicated Facebook button for that enables one-touch access to the key functions of the Facebook service integrated right throughout the HTC Sense user interface.
The dedicated Facebook button on HTC SALSA smartphone is context-aware which keeps gently pulsing with light whenever there is an opportunity to share content or updates through Facebook allowing users update their status, upload a photo, share a Website, post what song they are listening to, ‘check in’ to a location and more.
For example, user can upload the pictures shot using the HTC Salsa smartphone instantly to their Facebook account by simply pressing the dedicated Facebook button or let their friends know what song they’re listening to by pressing the button while listening to music on the phone which instantly share the track that is automatically identified.
The HTC Salsa is so tightly integrated with the Facebook service that when user make a phone call or receives a call from their Facebook friend, the dialer screen automatically displays their friend’s latest status and photos, and alert them it their birthday is approaching using Facebook features.
Powered by 600 MHz Qualcomm processor the HTC SALSA Social Smartphone features Accelerometer sensor, and Proximity sensor and is based on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread operating system for mobile devices with the next-generation HTC Sense touchscreen version 3.0 user interface with cloud services and features four touch sensitive buttons.
