HTC today launched in India the HTC Desire S Smartphone which is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm processor and is based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform with HTC Sense user interface that makes the phones work in a more simple and natural way.

Powered by 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor with Adreno 205 graphics chipset, the HTC Desire S smartphone features Accelerometer sensor, and Proximity sensor and is based on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system for mobile devices with the next-generation HTC Sense touchscreen user interface with cloud services.
It also includes Accelerometer sensor, Proximity sensor and features touch sensitive Android control buttons at the bottom of the device.
The HTC Desire S smartphone dual cameras – a 5.0 megapixel auto-focus rear facing digital camera with 2592 x 1944 pixel still picture resolution, geo-tagging, face-detection and built-in LED flash also allowing users record video is 720p HD resolution at 30 fps. The smartphone also features a 1.2 megapixel resolution secondary front-facing camera for video calling.
