HTC has announced at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2011, the HTC ChaCha Smartphone dubbed as Social Phone featuring a dedicated Facebook button for one-touch access to the key functions of the Facebook service that are integrated throughout the HTC Sense experience.
According to HTC, the new HTC ChaCha smartphone is built entirely to be social, combining the simplicity, ease-of-use and depth of HTC Sense with the power and connectivity of Facebook featuring a dedicated Facebook button for one-touch access to the key functions of the Facebook service that are integrated throughout the HTC Sense experience.
The dedicated Facebook button on HTC ChaCha smartphone is context-aware, gently pulsing with light whenever there is an opportunity to share content or updates through Facebook allowing users update their status, upload a photo, share a Website, post what song they are listening to, ‘check in’ to a location and more.
For example, user can take a photograph of friends on their HTC ChaCha smartphone and upload it instantly to Facebook by simply pressing the dedicated Facebook button or let their friends know what song they’re listening to by pressing the button while listening to music on the phone which instantly share the track that is automatically identified.
The new HTC ChaCha QWERTY smartphone runs Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 version and uses the latest iteration of HTC Sense version 3.0 to integrate Facebook social networking throughout the HTC Sense experience.
When user make a phone call, the dialer screen automatically displays their friend’s latest status and photos, and alert them it their birthday is approaching using Facebook features. The same updates are also displayed when user receive a call from a Facebook friend.
The HTC ChaCha Social Smartphone also features unique tilt design shaped display and physical QWERTY keyboard making it easier and faster to post Facebook updates and write emails and chat text.
