Sony India today announces the general availability of its new Sony VAIO YB series Notebook PC, that is powered by just announced AMD Fusion APU platform and features 11.6-inch display supporting full HD resolution content playback .
The new Sony VAIO YB series notebook is based on the latest Vision Technology from AMD, the AMD Fusion APU, allowing users to now enjoy smooth and comfortable HD contents playback, faster Internet operation and finer online gaming experience with the new VAIO YB series.
The AMD Fusion APU platform was announced recently at CES 2011 in Las Vegas that involves combination of a AMD CPU (1.6 GHz dual-core processor) and a GPU (ATi Radion 6310 with DX11 graphics) that delivers overall 65% faster graphics performance and the combination of both these processors claim to deliver greater power efficiency with over 10 hours of battery life.
The Sony VAIO YB series notebook offers faster graphics performance yet consumes less power and it comes with an 11.6-inch wide LED backlit display for convenient and delightful viewing.
Sony VAIO YB series notebook also allows best quality HD content viewing on a large screen by simply connecting to a monitor or TV using HDMI port.
The notebook also features isolation keyboard that assures comfortable, precise typing and an ergonomic touchpad for precision gestural control and comes with up to 4GB RAM, up to 500GB 2.5-inch SATA HDD, WiFi 802.11b/g/N Wireless LAN connection, Bluetooth 2.1 wireless connection, HDMI digital out port along with 3 USB 2.0 ports including a eSATA/USB combo port.
