Sony has today announced its new Sony VAIO F Series 3D Notebook PC that features 16-inch diagonal full 1080p HD LED backlit display powered by NVIDIA discreet graphics with 3D technology delivering 3D viewing experience.

The Sony VAIO F series notebook features a built-in 3D sync transmitter and included 3D active glasses let users enjoy 3D movies and photos in Full 1080p HD resolution picture quality.

The Sony VAIO F Series 3D notebook is powered by Intel Core i7-840QM (1.86 GHz) Processor with 4 cores and supports Intel Hyper-Threading and Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 delivering the premium performance needed for powerful PC gaming.

The VAIO F Series comes with up to 640GB HDD or 256GB SSD and includes up to 8GB DDR3 SDRAM. In addition, it features fast Ethernet (RJ-45) Protocol, 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T (Gigabit),  WiFi: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and integrated Stereo A2DP Bluetooth technology (2.1 + EDR) wireless connectivity.

Available with Backlit Keyboard, the Sony VAIO features QWERTY keyboard with 10 digit keypad, 103 keys with 2.0mm stroke and 19.05mm pitch, built-in MOTION EYE camera and microphone and electro-static touch pad.

The VAIO F Series also includes memory stick PRO (Std/Duo) media slot with MagicGate functionality and offers expressCard® /34 slot and standard SD memory card slot.

The Nosy VAIO F Series notenook features 16.0-inch Full HD with 1920×1080 widescreen display that is powered by NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M with 1GB dedicated VRAM card provides high-definition graphics processing for intense gaming action without placing huge demands on the unit’s CPU.

The Sony VAIO F Series notebook is an ultimate entertainment notebook letting users view games and movies in impeccable detail and amazing color. A Blu-ray Disc optical drive enables users to play high-definition content like movies in Full 1080 HD resolution as well as record, store and playback personal content on CD/DVD media.

Since majority of HD films are shot with a 16:9 aspect ratio, the Sony VAIO F Series notebook’s extra-wide LCD constructed with the same dimensions is ideal for watching Blu-ray disc movies on the move. The 16:9 aspect ration of the display minimizes the black bars that typically appear, letting you view movies in their intended format.

In addition, it also features a 3D button that enables users to convert 2D HD video and DVD/BD to 3D in real time.

The Sony VAIO F Series 3D notebook comes with Sony’s own S-Force Front Surround 3D system so there is no need for a home theater system to get vibrant sound. The notebook’s extended stereo effect plus simulated 5-channel surround sound provide the perfect accompaniment for viewing 3D content.

Effortlessly connect the PC and transmit in 3D to a compatible HDTV with 3D via its HDMI output (cable sold separately) for a larger viewing experience.

The Sony VAIO F series notebook with 3D capability would be available for starting price of US $1700 or about Rs. 76,590 sometime in February 2011.
