Lemon has released its budget-priced Lemon W100 3G ready mobile phone which offers dual-SIM (2G+3G) functionality and is perhaps the cheapest 3G enabled mobile handset on India market priced for Rs. 3,500.
The Lemon W100 features 2-inch (5-cm) 240 x 320 QVGA resolution non-touch display and includes a 1.3 megapixel main camera along with a VGA 640 x 480 pixel resolution front facing camera for video calling.
The handset is dual-SIM capable offering dual-band 2G GSM 800/1900 MHz network in one and 3G WCDMA 2100 MHz connection in another SIM slot allowing high speed internet /data access via 3G in addition to economy of 2G network. In addition, this 2G+3G combo network access also allows users to fall back on 2G network where 3G network is not available.
Measuring 109 x 46 x 13 mm and weighing 90 gms, the Lemon W100 3G ready handset comes with 60MB internal memory which can be expanded to maximum of 16GB via microSD memory card. Phone allows 1000 entries phonebook and 250 SMS storage.
The Lemon W100 3G ready mobile phone also includes audio media player supporting MP3, MIDI, AAC, AMR, AAC+and MP3 files and video player supporting MP4, and 3GP video files. In addition there is FM radio and option for voice recording.
For data connectivity, Lenon W100 offers GRPS, WAP/xHTML browser and Bluetooth 2.1 wireless connection in addition to microUSB port for wired connection. The phone can also be used as wireless modem allowing users connect their PC/laptop to it for Internet access.
The phone also offers JAVA support and comes preloaded with Opera Mini 5.1 browser for mobile devices which runs in Java environment. The handset offers client software/apps for Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo and allows IM integration via Nimbuzz all-in-one IM client.
