ViewSonic has announced its ViewPad line of dual-OS-boot devices, the ViewSonic ViewPad 10 tablet which sports a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED backlit touchscreen display and, unlike the Apple iPad or the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets which boasts of ARM processors, is powered by ULV Intel ATOM N455 processor running at 1.66 GHz as in a typical netbook.
The Innovative and productive dual-boot ViewSonic ViewPad offers users a choice between Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and Google Android 1.6 within the same device.
The new ViewSonic ViewPad 10 Tablet has very uncanny resemblance to the Olive’s recently announced OlivePad VT100 3G Android Powered Tablet PC which combines high speed Intel ATOM N455 processor running at 1.66 GHz with 3.5G capable data technology in a lightweight 10-inch form factor.
Sporting an 1024 x 600 capacitive multi-touch backlit screen type screen, the ViewPad 10 is one of the only 10-inch tablet solutions with Android Google Mobile Services (GMS) which allows consumers to connect to a selection of more than 100,000 apps and games in Google Android Market service in addition to offering dedicated applications for Gmail, YouTube and many more for a superior and convenient entertainment solution or the familiar Windows 7 environment for VPN, Outlook and other high end requirements.
The ViewPad 10 also features wireless 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR wireless connectivity allowing instant messaging, VoIP, and all the web browsing and USB connectivity functions of a capacitive multi-touch device.

The Dual OS powered ViewPad 10 will be available in late Q1 2011 for an ESP of $629 or about Rs. 28,310 (approx).
