Samsung has announced its new 3G capable Samsung Xcover (B2710) Mobile Phone in its Rugged phone lineup, that is shock, dust and water resistant and offers incredible 19 hours of long talk-time battery time.
The quad-band GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 network ready Samsung Xcover 271 rugged mobile phone is IP67 rating certified, which is the highest ever a Samsung mobile phone has ever received till date.
The rugged all-weather Samsung Xcover 271 phone is completely shock, dust and water resistant that can even function normally being submerged in up to 1 meter deep water for up to 30 minutes.
The Samsung Xcover 271 mobile, also known as Samsung B2710, is equipped with large 2.0-inch 256K colors capable, QVGA TFT screen having 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution and it comes with 30-MB of internal shared memory that allows upto 1000 number phonebook and upto 30 dialed, 30 received and 30 missed calls records.
The Xcover 271 phone is also equipped with expandable memory card slot supporting microSD memory card of up to 16-GB with hot-swap functionality for external memory. A 1-GB microSD card is bundled with the package.
Samsung Xcover 271 (B2710) mobile handset also features built-in Altimeter, Pedometer, Digital Compass, integrated high quality Speaker and dedicated LED flash light. In addition, the handset is also equipped with noise cancellation technology for clear voice reception.
The rugged Samsung Xcover 271 (B2710) mobilephone offers range of connectivity including Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, GPRS Class 10 – with upto 48 kbps speed, and EDGE Class 10 – with upto 236.8 kbps speed and 3G HSDPA 3.6 Mbps connection.
EDGE network connection allows ultra fast data transmissions, and faster downloads and file transfers. In addition, the Xcover 271 also features GPS receiver with A-GPS support with built-in Google Maps 3.0 and also offers Hinglish SMS feature which facilitates faster typing and makes messaging more fun, as it recognizes both English and Hindi words.
