Nikon has today introduced new COOLPIX S1100pj Compact Digital Camera into the Style Series, that features built-in Projector with computer connectivity, offering exciting ways to share photos, movies, and even presentations.
Build on the success of its ground breaking predecessor, the new Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera takes advanced technology a step further with a 40 percent brighter, 14-lumen internal projector complete with a built?in stand and an easy-to-use touch screen interface, allowing the user to share photos and movies in even more environments.
The Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera also allows user to connect the camera to a computer via USB and project whatever is on the computer screen or JPEG image files saved to the camera’s memory card or internal memory, using its built-in Projector.
The Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera also features a built-in slide show function that plays photos with music and one?touch HD 720p movie recording with easy projection playback. Whether sharing family photos and videos with loved ones or presenting an important presentation to a client, users can make a big impression by projecting up to 47 inches from over 7 feet away.
The Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera also features a 3-inch 460,000 dot touch LCD screen with Clear Color Display and a new Paint function on the LCD display allows users to write and draw on projected images in real time, while a wide range of new Retouch functions allow users to add stamps for an entertaining effect or rate their favorite photos for a more convenient search.
Some of the other new functions in the Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera’s in-camera Retouch Menu includes Soft, Selective Color, Cross Screen, Fisheye Effect, Miniature Effect and Makeup Effect, giving the user creative freedom without the need for a computer.
The Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera features a 14.1 megapixel digital sensor and includes a 5x Wide Angle Optical Zoom NIKKOR glass lens (28 – 140mm) and a 5 way VR Image Stabilization System with ISO settings up to 6400 to ensure incredibly sharp, crisp images in low light or while shooting handheld.
At the core of all new Nikon COOLPIX digital cameras are Nikon’s world?class NIKKOR lenses, delivering accurate detail, brilliant color and amazing clarity. For the first time, Nikon’s new EXPEED C2 high performance digital image processing engine is implemented and custom optimized for each COOLPIX model to ensure high?quality pictures with stunning color and sharpness.
The new S-Series Nokia COOLPIX camera model embrace the addition of High Definition (HD) video accessible via an ideally located video record button on the back of the camera and it features Scene Auto Selector or Easy Auto Mode, which automatically recognizes the shooting situation and adjusts camera settings accordingly for great pictures anywhere.

40% brighter projector function
By increasing projector brightness from the 10 lumens supported by the COOLPIX S1000pj to 14 lumens, projection at a distance up to 240 cm and a size of up to 47-inch display is possible, and projection in brighter surroundings, such as inside a tent or onto a ceiling is clearer. What’s more, simultaneously display of images in the camera monitor with projection put projector operation in the palm of your hand, allowing for more ways to enjoy the feature.
High-resolution LCD display
3-inch, 460k-dot TFT LCD touch panel monitor with beautiful reproduction of even the smallest details. The 460k-dot high-resolution monitor with high visibility reproduces detailed portions more clearly. The touch panel supports intuitive operation, including utilization of the touch shutter function for focusing and shooting, with the touch of a finger.
Hard Coating
Even with touch panel operations, fingerprints do not easily remain on the monitor and those that do are more easily wiped off.
Projector Function
When the camera is connected to a Windows PC or Macintosh computer, images and text created and displayed on the computer can be projected by the camera as is.
Interactive Operations
Collaboration between the touch panel and projector function allow users to add text, drawings, or decorations such as flowers or fish during projection for interactive operations that make projection more enjoyable.
Hi-Defination Movie Recording
Adoption of a movie-record button enables quick and simple high-definition movie recording at a frame size of 1280 × 720 pixels.
Advanced Projector Operation
An integrated projector button and projector focus dial has been positioned on the top of the camera for a design that is also functional. Adoption of a dial structure makes focus fine tuning simpler than with the S1000pj. In addition, the built-in projector stand on the bottom of the camera enables projection at a clear 10-degree angle by simply placing the camera on a table or desk. This eliminates the need for a separate dedicated stand.
Price and Availability
The Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj Projector Digital Camera with built-in Projector function will be available in September 2010 for $349.95 (Rs. 16,330 Approx.) MSRP in a choice of colors including black, violet, green and silver.
