MSI CX720 17-inch Notebook Launched; Features NVIDIA GeForce 310M Discrete Graphics

MSI today announced the new addition to its Classic Series family with MSI CX720 Notebook that is armed with the Intel 2010 Core processor and boast of NVIDIA discrete graphics featuring fashionable exterior and friendly disposition, delivering an exceptional entertainment, learning, and work companion.


The new Classic Series MSI CX720’s exterior design has both style and substance thanks to MSI’s exclusive wedge craftsmanship, which creates perfect 45 degree angles to achieve a coherent and powerful arched profile.

The MSI CX720 notebook comes equipped with the latest chiclet keyboard which offers that perfect touch to keep you from hitting the wrong keys. The lustrous cross-hatch color film print coating on the cover and wrist rest areas is unassuming and tasteful.

In addition, the CX720 is equipped with MSI’s distinctive seamless touch-pad. This touch-pad also utilizes the full-textured cross-hatch CFP patterning for the maximum in user enjoyment.

The new MSI CX720 notebook features all-new 2010 Intel Core processor with Intel Mobile HM55 chipset and NVIDIA GeForce 310M discrete graphics card with 1GB DDR3 video RAM, that gives users powerful audio/video entertainment and processing performance in a stylishly minimalist exterior.

The MSI CX720 notebook features classic horizontal design lines on the outer up lid and palm rest areas which are treated with MSI’s exclusive CFP coating that protects against scratches and wear.

The MSI CX720 Notebook features all-new 2010 Intel Core i3/i5 processor with HM55 chipset with Hyper-Threading Technology and an integrated graphics core that results in reduced power consumption compared to previous generations and 15% longer operating time while on battery power. In addition, a significant increase in graphics core effectiveness provides outstanding audio/video and processing performance.

The MSI CX720 notebook features a 17.3-inch LED backlit screen and boasts an ideal cinema-class 16:9 ratio LED screen with 1600 x 900 pixels screen resolution, extending display visibility by 14% allowing users wider viewing comfort with no distortion or color loss when viewing DVDs.

The MSI CX720’s 17.3-inch display is powered by NVIDIA’s  latest GeForce 310M discrete graphics card with 1GB DDR3 of display memory which delivers bettwe graphics core performance than that of previous generations, offering a superior visual experience with enhanced display performance consisting of crisper picture and sharper colors.

In addition to two speakers of 2-watt, the MSI CX720 notebook also comes with a subwoofer located on the bottom of the notebook to enhance your listening pleasure. Coupled with ideal theater-class 17.3-inch LED display, the new notebook maximizes your cinematic experience.

The MSI CX720 notebook weighs less than 3.0 kg with a 6-cell battery and for data connectivity, it offers 802.11 b/g/draft N high speed wireless, with optional V2.1+EDR Bluetooth module.

In addition, the MSI CX720 includes a 1.3MP webcam allowing users effortlessly stay in touch and instantly communicate with friends.

The MSI CX720 also features a built-in HDMI interface capable of transmitting up to 5GB of video bandwidth that provides vivid image quality. When used with a Blu-Ray player, HD images can be sent to a large sized display so you can easily enjoy brilliant audio and video through a projector or digital TV!

MSI CX720 notebook comes with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), and comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 (60 days), Norton Internet Security, full version of Microsoft Works and a ArcSoft software suite that includes ArcSoft Connect, ArcSoft Print Creations, and ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effects.

MSI has not revealed CX720 notebook’s price and availability in any markets as yet.
