ASUS B Series B43 and B53 Business Notebooks Launched With Boston-Power Sonata Battery

Asus has today introduced its new Business series notebooks which includes two models, viz. ASUS B43 and ASUS B53 Business Notebooks, both featuring the Boston-Power’s Sonata batteries which focus on a long life rather than increasing the capacity, allowing these notebooks to run longer on a single charge.


The Sonata Battery have a enhanced power lifetime that is almost triple that of standard lithium-ion cells, allowing users to get the long-lasting batteries so that they do not have to change them going forward.

The green Boston-Power Sonata battery is long-lasting, faster to charge, safer, and more cost effective and is the only green-certified rechargeable lithium-ion notebook computer battery cell available in market today.

The Boston-Power Sonata battery features the technology that has been accredited by both Scandinavian and mainland China environmental testing standards, and has received RoHS certification.

The new ASUS Business Series B43 and B53 notebooks are now equipped with these green Boston-Power battery that is capable of over 900 charge cycles – more than three times than traditional notebook batteries, therefore providing users with dependable portable power and extended mobility for the typical life of their portable PCs.

Coupled with the addition of ASUS Xpress Charge technology, the new ASUS B43 and B53 series Business notebooks can quick charge a fully drained battery to 90% capacity in just 90 minutes.

In addition, the green Boston-Power Sonata batteries can retain 80% of their original capacity for as long as three years, that is to say this leads to giving out a warranty for 3 years.

In addition to the 3 years warranty, Asus seeks to use the boosted battery lifetime as a selling point at business, and Asus believes that these Business series B43 and B53 notebooks would deliver industry leading efficiency, reliability and security along with excellent durability.

The ASUS B43 notebook would comes in 14.1-inch LED display with 1366 x 768 resolution while the ASUS B53 notebook will sport the screen sizes of 15.6-inches with 1366 x 768 resolution.

Both these B series notebooks will be powered by a Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors, ATI Radeon 5470 discrete graphics cards with 512-MB dedicated DDR3 video RAM, up to 4GB of RAM, and ATI Eyefinity support.

The ASUS B53 notebook is available as the first notebook which is powered by Intel Core i5-520M processor with vPro technology running at 2.4GH and offers 2GB of RAM, 320GB HD with anti-shock technology and Windows Professional 64-bit.

The ASUS B53 Business Series notebook features a 15.6-inch LED backlit screen powered by ATI Radeon 5470 discrete graphics cards with 512-MB dedicated DDR3 video RAM 0ffering 1366 x 768 pixel screen resolution.

These notebooks come with Anti-Shock Hard Drives, smart card access, TPM and fingerprint logins as well as ASUS Secure Delete to provide unprecedented levels of security.

The new ASUS B Series B43 and B53 business notebooks are the world’s first to offer ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology, allowing for simultaneously connections on up to three displays.

The notebooks can be paired with the ASUS Power Station II dock for easy connections to a range of peripherals and communication devices.

ASUS has not revealed details on B43 & B53 notebook prices and availability in any market as yet.
