HP Launches Photosmart Plus eAll-in-One B110e Inkjet Printer

In an event held in Mumbai, HP has announced a new category of web-enabled printing solutions designed for the cloud computing solution in the launch of HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-One B110e Inkjet Printer, powered by ePrint technology allowing users to print from any email-enabled mobile device connected to internet by sending the print job to the printer’s own email address. Users can share the printer over a network via Wi-Fi.

The HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer allows seamlessly print, copy or scan print lab-quality photos, everyday documents, and creative projects, thereby making it ideal for business and personal reasons.

The HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer features ePrint technology allowing this device the capability of PC-less printing while users can email documents to the email address assigned to every printer.

The HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer belongs to a new category of web-enabled printing solutions designed for the cloud that will, for the first time, allow people to:

  • Print from any email device to any new ePrint-enabled printer from anywhere in the world through the new HP ePrint platform
  • Store documents or files in the cloud and print direct when needed
  • Transform their printers into publishing platforms from which they can customize print apps and schedule timed delivery of content – such as news from msnbc.com and Yahoo! and creative after-school activities from Disney – directly to their home or business printers
  • Manage and customize their full printing experience through the new HP ePrintCenter to enjoy relevant, fun and interesting content that is formatted for efficient printing.

The HP ePrintCenter can now be accessed by users to instantly receive updates according to their preferences, configure their devices, track ePrint jobs, and browse or suggest new print apps.

HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer will be the first printer able to “talk” to the “Google Cloud” without requiring a local proxy PC or web appliance, which means people will be able to access Google Docs, Photos and Calendar directly from their printers.

A selection of new print apps from partners such as Yahoo!, msnbc.com, Facebook, Live Nation, Crayola, Reuters, DocStoc and Picasa Web Albums also will be available.

HP ePrint Technology

The HP ePrint platform harnesses the cloud to break down the barriers of distance and connectivity and allow people to send the files they want to print from their mobile devices.

From a mom and son printing drawings from an iPad, to an executive on a train sending a presentation from a Palm Pre or BlackBerry smartphone to print and pick up at a FedEx Office store, HP ePrint allows people to print anytime, anywhere.

Every HP ePrint printer will have a unique simple email address that allows the sender to deliver a print the same way they would send an email message. Customers also can send documents to print through an HP ePrint mobile app on their smartphone device to a home, office or public print location such as a hotel or FedEx Office store. Customers will be able to send Microsoft Office documents, Adobe PDFs and JPEG image files, among others.

HP ePrintCenter

The HP ePrintCenter is an online hub for all HP customers to explore new services and customize their printing experience. For example, people can register their products and receive updates according to their preferences, configure their devices, track ePrint jobs, and browse and suggest new print apps.

HP iPrint Photo Technology

HP also unveiled HP iPrint Photo, a photo printing application which can be accessed through all leading smartphones. This app is available on various smartphone platforms including Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch, Windows Mobile via the Windows Marketplace store, Symbian via the Nokia Ovi store, and Android via the Android Market.

The HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer also employs a 3.5-inch HP TouchSmart screen which lets users access various printing applications and enables easy printing. This TouchSmart screen allows users to rotate, crop, adjust brightness, and apply color effects before printing. Users can also create photobooks, albums, calendars and much more by using HP Photo Creations software or Snapfish by HP.

Users are given the freedom to send emails, everyday documents, and photos to their HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer from any mobile device, encompassing HP iPAQ, BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and notebook PC. The device renders users to print fun and useful templates like calendars and notebook paper too.

The HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer boasts of print speeds of up to 32 pages per minute (black) and up to 30 ppm (color) in addition to printing 4 x 6 inch photos within 16 seconds.

The B110e printer is claimed to print three times more black printed pages and 2.5 times more color printed pages when using optional high-capacity cartridges and it measures 17.8-inches x 15.8-inches x 7.8-inches.

The HP Photosmart Plus eAll-in-one B110e inkjet printer is dressed in black and blends into any office or home ambiance easily and supports wireless 802.11b/g/n connectivity and support for Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.6, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP (SP2) or higher.
