HTC and Reliance Communications today announced the official launch of high-end 3G ready HTC Wildfire Smartphone in India that is powered by Google Android Eclair 2.1 mobile operating system and is armed with 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7225 processor and it boasts of a large 3.2-inch Capacitive touch screen with pinch-to-zoom capability.
To all its GSM customers, Reliance Communications as promotional offer, is offering up to 500 MB of free data access every month for a period of first six months, and the HTC WildFire smartphone itself is available across India from HTC resellers at the attractive price of Rs. 16,590.

Announced in May, 2010, the HTC Wildfire Smartphone, boasts a unique design with a smooth, continuous surface, machined from a single aluminum block into a seamless compact frame and is powered by Android Eclair 2.1 mobile operating system and features newly enhanced HTC Sense user interface with exciting new features.
The HTC Sense user interface revolves around three fundamental principles that were developed by HTC viz. Make It Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected which continue to be the key to the new HTC Sense user interface build in HTC Legend Smartphone.

HTC Wildfire phone comes with Friend Stream, that allows users to see all their friends’ Facebook updates, Tweets and Flickr photos on a single screen which updates itself automatically. In addition, when someone calls, the Caller ID in addition to displaying caller’s name name and number also is capable of displaying useful stuff like their Facebook status and birthday date etc.
The HTC Wildfire also comes loaded with another useful tool, People Widget that allows locating any group of friends straight from phone’s home screen allowing a single tap Calling, Texting or Emailing them. It also allows sending a URL/link straight from the phone to theirs.

The camera also allows video recording in 800 x 480 pixels resolution @ 24fps.
The HTC Wildfire Smartphone also offers exhaustive data connectivity options including WiFi 802.11b/g wireless LAN, GPRS class 10 up to 114 kbps downloading, EDGE class 10 upto 560 kbps downloading, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR + A2DP wireless connection with FTP and OPP file transfer capabilities, 3G HSDPA 7.2Mbps, 3G HSUPA 2.0Mbps connection and microUSB 2.0 for wired connectivity.
