Reliance Communication has announced the launch of Samsung Galaxy i899 Smartphone, that is India’s first CDMA network ready smartphone powered by Google Android platform and features 3.2-inch touchscreen AMOLED display.
The Samsung Galaxy i899 CDMA smartphone represents a new breed of smartphones powered by the open and innovative Google Android platform, with full support of Google Mobile Services including Android Market, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk and more and users can also access the Android Market and customize their experience with more than 75,000 exciting and useful applications.
The Samsung Galaxy i899 phone is CDMA 800 MHz network ready and features a 3.2-inch, 480×800 pixels, 16-million color capable AMOLED HVGA touchscreen display. The handset comes with 4-GB internal memory and has microSD card slot supporting upto 32-GB expandable memory.
The Samsung Galaxy i899 phone includes 3.2MP autofocus camera with LED flash and digital zoom feature offering 2048 x 1536 pixels still picture resolution.
Android powered Samsung Galaxy i899 phone also features GPRS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g wireless LAN, Reliance Netconnect, microSD card slot, DivX video playback .
Measuring 116.5X56.4X12.8 mm, the Galaxy i899 CDMA phone weighs 126 gms and comes preloaded with full HTML browser, and offers SMS, EMS, Email, Push Mail support.

The Samsung Galaxy i899 CDMA smartphone comes with 1440 mAH battery that provides upto 588 hours of standby time and upto 6.7 hours of talk time and would be available in Black color. RCOM has not revealed its price or availability as of now, but its rumored to cost in the range of Rs. 10,000/-.
