Toshiba has recently announced the launch of two brand new additions to its already popular HD camcorder series, the Toshiba Camileo S20 and the Camileo X100 HD Camcoders, the new affordable Camileo line of HD camcorders are perfect for the casual video user or beginner.
Toshiba Camileo X100 HD Camcoder
From the pocket-sized, ultra-slim S20 to the compact touch-screen X100, full HD resolution, these Camileo line of HD camcorders is perfect for the casual video user or beginner.
The Camileo line is designed to meet a growing consumer demand for affordable HD video camcorders that make sharing memories with friends and family easy and fun.
According to IDC, the traditional camcorder market is shifting to HD, as nearly 45 percent of all units shipped in 2009 were HD models and is expected to hit 60 percent in 2010.
The easy-to-use Camileo line supports 1080p Full HD resolution allowing consumers to capture and edit high-quality video, take still camera photos and view them directly on their PC or TV.

Camileo S20: Ultra-Slim HD Camcorder
Like its predecessor, the Camileo S20 has an ultra-slim design with 17 mm thin and weighing only 98 grams making this tiny video camera about the same size as a Smartphone and can virtually go wherever one likes.
Complementing the slim façade, Camileo S20 features a 3″ touch screen LCD, 1920 x 1080p full HD video recording, 4X digital zoom and doubles up as a 5 megapixel digital still camera.
The Camileo S20 takes SD/SDHC memory cards up to 32GB for virtually unlimited recording time. Each 32GB card will record an estimated 5 additional hours at 1080p or 12 hours at the lowest setting giving you great flexibility with recording time.
The S20 also charges with an included USB 2.0 cable so you won’t need to bring extra cables or power adapters on your travels.
Previewing, watching or sharing recorded videos doesn’t get more easier. The Camileo S20 is equipped with a large 3-inch diagonal swiveling LCD monitor for previewing and controlling your videos and pictures. Share your memories with your family and friends with the one-touch YouTube button or watch them directly on your favorite HD TV with the included HDMI cable.
The Camileo S20 camcorder supports 1080p Full High Definition Video and 4x digital zoom and video stabilization. The S20 also doubles as a 5 Megapixel digital still camera. The S20 has 4 different recording modes: Macro mode for close up shots, motion detection mode for surveillance, slow motion for sports and time elapse mode.
Camileo X100: Full HD Camcorder
Zoom into amazing detail with 10x optical/10x digital zoom with the new Toshiba Camileo X100. Compact and lightweight with 3″ touch-screen LCD, Camileo X100 lets you enjoy state-of-the-art technology with a choice of 1080/30fps2 or 1080/60fps2 full HD video and sharp 10 megapixel digital still photos.
It also has a built-in 4GB flash memory for storage, and users can add on SD cards with its SD card slot.
The Camileo HD camcorders also come with a complete suite of accessories that enables users to start recording right out-of-the-box. Accessories include a Li-Ion Rechargeable battery, Power adaptor, Mini-tripod, HDMI cable, TV-out cable, USB cable, Wrist strap, Pouch and a Cleaning cloth.
Both the Toshiba Camileo S20 and Camileo X100 HD Camcoders will be launched soon but there is no news about their prices as yet.
