Sony has today announced the launch of its new Sony DRX-S77U External DVD Multi Drive in India that is ultra-slim with only 19 mm height and offers 4.7 GB data writing capability on a standard 8X DVD+R optical media.
Originally announced on 12 April, 2010 in US market, the Sony DRX-S77U is slim, lightweight and versatile enough to be your convenient everyday companion and is ultra-portable and its elegant design makes it more than stylish. Available in black, white, pink and gold.
The Sony DRX-S77U external DVD/CD writer drive support up to 8X DVD±R recording speeds, delivering a full 4.7 GB disc of video, data, music or images on standard 8X DVD+R media.
In addition, the external drive can record on 8.5 GB DVD+R Double/Dual layer and 4.7 GB DVD-RW discs at 6X speeds, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-RAM at 5X and CD-R/RW at 24X.
The Sony DRX-S77U is equipped with award-winning Nero software and it is fully Windows 7 and Mac compatible and works perfectly with USB 2.0.
The device is equipped with tray load mechanism, 2 MB cache memory and faster USB 2.0 interface offering upto 480 Mbits per second burst transfer rate.
The drive comes in a retail package bundled with DRX-S77U Drive, USB cable, AC adapter and AC cable, Software disc with online User Manual, Quick Start Guide, and Nero Express 9 Essentials DVD/CD mastering softwar.
The Sony DRX-S77U External DVD/CD Writer is available in India for Rs. 5,500 with one year standard warranty.
