HP EliteBook 8540p Notebook Launched Offering Core i5/i7 Processors and NVIDIA Discrete Graphics

HP has today announced the launch of its upgraded HP EliteBook 8540p notebook that is equipped with Intel 2010 Core i5/i7 processor and has 15.4-inch display powered by NVIDIA discrete graphics card with dedicated video memory.

Only 1.28-inch thick HP EliteBook 8540p notebook is powered by Intel 2.4 GHz Core i5-520M or 2.53 MHz Intel Core i5-540M or 1.66 GHz Core i7-620M Processor with upto 6 MB L3 cache @ 1333 MHz FSB Mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset mainboard and features upto 4-GB DDR3 RAM, upto 500 GB 7200 rpm SATA II / upto 256 GB SSD along with SuperMulti Double Layer DVD burner.

Build with brushed-aluminum platinum finish for added protection from daily wear and tear the HP EliteBook 8540p notebook sports magnesium alloy chassis provides enhances durability and it sports a larger 15.4-inch LED-backlit HD+ anti-glare display, NVIDIA NVS 5100 discrete graphics with 512 MB dedicated video memory allowing maximum screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and also features 2 MP webcam and Spill resistant keyboard.

Weighing 2.89 Kgs, the EliteBook 8540p is equipped with integrated Intel Gigabit Network 10/100/1000 Ethernet card and offers HP Mobile Broadband powered by Gobi with GPS, Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN connection, HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless card.

The new HP EliteBook 8540p comes equipped with 8-cell (73 WHr) Li-Ion or HP Long Life 8-cell (68 WHr) Li-Ion battery and also has built-in WiFi 802.11/n, Bluetooth v2.1 module , Ethernet and modem ports, 3 USB 2.0 and one eSATA/USB 2.0 Combo power port.

HP has not yet announced EliteBook 8540p notebook prices and availability in India as yet.
