Samsung has launched in India its new Metro series Samsung Metro 5200 Slider mobile phone which is only 10.9 mm thick and is available in dual color scheme.

The Samsung Metro 5200 is a quad-band GSM network ready handset sporting slider design and it features a 2.1-inch 240 x 320 pixels 16Million color capable TFT screen. It comes with 50-MB internal storage and offers microSD memory expansion card slot supporting upto 8-GB capacity.

Available for Rs. 7,439/- some other features of Samsung Metro 5200 mobile includes 3.2 megapixel camera equipped with panoramic shots and face and smile detection technology, video recording with sound in QCIF resolution at 15 fps, LED flash, built-in FM Stereo Radio with RDS, MP3 media player- supporting MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+/WMA/AMR/MIDI audio file formats, Bluetooth 2.1 + A2DP, USB 2.0, MS documents viewer apps, fake call filter,  and SOS Message, applications such as PC Studio, Calendar, Calculator, and Alarm, and Java Games.

The Metro 5200 handset also offers realistic 3D sound and music recognition feature and is also armed with mobile tracker feature that helps users track their phone in case they happen to lose it. In addition, the phone comes preloaded with Google Gmail and Google search options.

The Samsung Metro 5200 slider phone is equipped with 800mAh battery offering 5 hours of talk time with 400 hours of standby time.
