Samsung Metro 3600 (S3600) Clamshell Mobile Phone
Samsung has recently launched its new entry-level Clamshell type Samsung Metro 3600 (S3600) mobile phone which is quad-band GSM Candybar style full metal finish mobile phone and features a large 2.2-inch 256K colors capable CSTN display, 1.3 MP camera and FM radio with recording.
The quad-band GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 network ready Samsung Metro 3600 phone sports highly polish metal finish body with hairline patterns etching giving it smooth touch and the handset is equipped with large 2.2-inch 256K colors capable, QVGA TFT screen having 176 x 220 pixels screen resolution.
The Samsung Metro 3600 mobile phone offers 30-MB of internal shared memory that allows upto 1000 number phonebook with photocall feature and upto 30 dialed, 30 received and 30 missed calls records and is equipped with expandable memory slot supporting microSD memory card (upto 2-GB) with hot-swap functionality for external memory.
Packed with Slim metallic clamshell look, the new Samsung Metro 3600 (S3600) folder mobile handset features Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones and many Bollywood Ringtones are preloaded. In addition, the handset also offers a Call Time Limit feature which allows users to keep check on the talk time used per month for better control. Multimedia contents can also transfer to the phone via USB data transfer cable or Bluethooth wireless connection.
Connectivity: The Samsung Metro 3600 (S3600) mobilephone offers range of connectivity including Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, GPRS Class 10 – with upto 48 kbps speed, and EDGE Class 10 – with upto 236.8 kbps speed.
EDGE network connection allows ultra fast data transmissions, and faster downloads and file transfers. Bluetooth technology enables communication with other Bluetooth compatible devices and gadgets such as color printers, PDAs and laptops for instant sync-ups, data transfer and print jobs in a flash and Bluetooth+A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) for stereo sound allows listening to music on bluetooth compatible headset absolutely wire-free.
Equipped with 880 mAh Li-lon battery which allows about 3 hrs of talk time on full charge and upto 210 hrs of standby time, the new Samsung Metro 3600 comes with MP3 ringtones and the ability to download other ringtones and songs. Plus, it includes two popular Bollywood hits, set as ringtones by default.
Available in two colors, Metalic Silver and Black, the Samsung Metro 3600 mobile phone sports MP3 media player supporting MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+/WMA/AMR/MIDI audio file formats.
The Samsung Metro 3600 sports a standard wap 2.0 web browser and it supports JavaScript, 3 types of text font scaling, and option to maps sites in one column.
Camera: The Samsung Metro 3600 handset also features a single integrated 1.3 Megapixels digital camera facing front side of the folder handset with maximum still picture resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels and has built-in LED flash light with digital zoom feature.
The Samsung Metro 3600 (S3600) phone allows picture storage in standard JPEG format in handset memory or in extended memory and the digital camera also offers Photo effects and option for Photo quality settings while shooting still pictures.

Sansung Metro 3600 slider mobile phone also sports FM Radio (stereo) with RDS and it allows upto maximum 5-minute duration live recording from FM radio. The live recorded sound clips can only be used as ring tones or alarms.
The handset is also armed with mobile tracker feature that helps users track their phone in case they happen to lose it. In an event of being lost, stolen or misplaced, the Mobile Tracker feature sends an SMS prompt to a pre-determined number whenever the SIM card is changed thus improving chances of recovering the handset.
