Netgear Launches WNDR3300 RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router

Netgear announced the launch of its Business Series WNDR3300 RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router in India offering draft 802.11n/Wireless-N technology with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) Router, and it featues a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch enabling users to have better connections and boost their performance.

netgear-wndr3300-router-nThe Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router WNDR3300 is designed to deliver enough bandwidth to simultaneously allow users surf the Internet, stream HD videos, play on-line games, and also make Internet phone calls.

It Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router also enable users to wirelessly connect to new devices easily with the latest Push ‘N’ connect feature and automatically adjusts to the needs of Internet, voice, video and gaming applications (QoS).

Sporting a familiar Netgear’s RangeMax series of routers with the sleek casing and the big round blue-glowing button on top, the new Netgear WNDR3300 RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N router actually does not support true dual-band wireless-N but basically offers dual separate access points (AP), one of which supports Wireless-N and operate in either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequencies, while the other is a regular 802.11G which operates in 2.4 GHz frequency.

By using Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology, Netgear WNDR3300 RangeMax Wireless-N router overlays signals of multiple radios and multiplies the effective data rate resulting in greater throughput and coverage over 802.11g networking standard.

Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router WNDR3300 incorporates Push ‘N’ Connect using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) that allows users to add computers to the network quickly and securely and is configurable as a wireless repeater for extending dual band range.

In addition, the wireless-N router offers Dual Band – 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies – which offers a better wireless connection with more channels, avoiding interference from most of the household devices likw such as cordless phones and Bluetooth devices, which normally operates at 2.4 GHz spectrum. The router comes with Smart Wizard installation CD for easy and hassle free setup.

In contrast to conventional wireless networking technologies confused by signal reflections, the MIMO technology actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce dead spots in the wireless coverage area enhancing the overall efficiency of the router. In addition, Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router WNDR3300 is also backwards compatible with Wireless-B and Wireless-G devices.

The Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router WNDR3300 is also equipped with advanced firewall and intrusion prevention (IPS) technology to secure network from external threats, including worms, DDoS attacks and viruses.

The integrated QoS feature in Netgear WNDR3300 RangeMax Wireless-N router provides consistent voice and video performance on both the wired and wireless networks allowing deployment of business quality VoIP and video applications.
