Zenith Z-Book Notebook With 10-inch Display
Zenith Computers launched Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC in India powered by Intel Atom processor that features 10.2-inch widescreen display, 160-GB HDD, integrated 802.11 wireless LAN connection, Bluetooth and webcam.
Only 35mm thick (front), the new Zenith Z-Book ultra-portable PC is designed as low-cost, Internet-centric mobile computing devices also called NetBooks and is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom ULV (ultra low voltage) Processor N270, specifically designed for small devices and low power consumption, while maintaining the Intel Core 2 Duo instruction set compatibility.
This new range of Zenith ultra Portable Netbook is targeted at consumer who needs to stay connected, informed, entertained and productive-anytime and anywhere. The Zenith Z-Book is designed lightweight and small in size making it convenient for use at all sorts of places like in home, gym, trains, bus, planes etc. where a larger size laptop might feel inconvenient.
The Intel Atom processor N270 uses a brand new design structure that packs in 47 million transistors into a single chip sized at just 22mm (0.87 inches), and the processor uses just 2.5 watts of power which is less than 1/10th of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
The Zenith Z-Book ultra-portable PC is also equipped with Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology which reduces average system power consumption. The enhanced low-power sleep states (C1E, C2E, C4E) are optimized for power by forcibly reducing the performance state of the processor when it enters a package low-power state.
Designed specifically for mobile devices, the Zenith Z-Book ultra-portable PC uses a brand new design structure the dynamic L2 cache sizing -that reduces electrical leakage in transistors-to conserve energy, giving you more time away from the wall outlet.
The Intel Atom processor N270 in Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC also includes a power-optimized front side bus of 533 MHz for faster data transfer (FSB) on demanding mobile applications and a 512 KB L2 cache (which temporarily stores data).
The Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC features Intel Mobile 945GSE chipset motherboard, 1-GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz (maximum of 2-GB in 1 SO DIMM slots), and 160-GB Serial-ATA-2 5400 rpm hard drive.
Weighing 1.35 kgs with 3-cell battery pack, the new Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC is equipped with 10.2-inch (35.9 cm) WXGA+ Widescreen TFT ClearVideo Display powered by integrated Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 950 graphics chipset with upto 128-MB shared memory allowing maximum resolution of 1024 X 600 pixels using Bright Glare Screen technology.
Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC sports integrated 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN connection, integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN adapter and integrated 56-kbps V.92 fax/modem card and it also offers three USB v2.0 ports for wired connection with a eSATA/USB port .
The status panel indicator LEDs of Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC reflects WLAN, HDD, Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock, Battery Discharge, Battery Charging and Power-on states and notebook also features built-in High Definition 2 Channel Audio system with 2W Woofer and 2 Built-in Stereo Speakers delivering very high quality audio output. LED indicators for Power on/Suspend, Battery charging, Wireless LAN, HDD Access, Caps Lock And Num Lock.
Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC comes with Genuine Windows XP Home for Atom processor preinstalled and it also features a 4-in-1 media card reader supporting Memory Stick (MS), MS PRO, Multi Media Card (MMC), and Secure Digital (SD) Cards and integrated VGA resolution Webcam along with two integrated omni-directional digital microphones for easy video chat setup.
Zenith Z-Book NetBook PC is equipped with 86 Key, Keypad with Windows function keys and Touch Pad with 2 way Scroll Function. In addition, it also offers e-SATA/USB combo port along with 2 USB 2.0 ports.
Powered by 3-cell Li-Ion Battery Pack with up to 2.5 hours of battery life, the new Zenith Z-Book NetBook is equipped with Full feature ACPI power management, Standby, suspend to Disk, suspend to RAM, and ACPI 2.0 supported with Intel Speed step.
