Acer Aspire 3935 Notebook Computer Announced
Acer has announced its new Acer Aspire 3935 (6504) notebook PC which is powered by 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and it features 13.3 inch WXGA Widescreen LED display, integrated Wi-Fi Wireless LAN connectivity, Dolby 5.1 stereo speakers, integrated webcam with microphone and a 8X DVD writer.
Weighing about 2.0 kg and just 1-inch thick, the Acer Aspire 3935 notebook PC is powered by 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7350 featuring 2-MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz FSB.
The Acer Aspire 3935 notebook features mobile Intel GM45 express chipset mainboard with integrated GMA 3D graphics hardware and it has 3-GB DDR2 SDRAM, 1066 MHz (max 8-GB in 2 slots), 250-GB Serial-ATA hard disk drive (5400rpm) and 8x DVD Super Multi Double Layer DVD Writer.
The multiformat DVD writer is capable of burning both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer DVD+/-R optical discs allowing storage of up to 8.5 GB of data on each dual-sided DVD media. In addition the DVD writer can also burn 40x CD-R and 24x CD-RW medias.
Display & Graphics: Acer Aspire 3935 notebook is equipped with 13.3-inch WXGA TFT LCD with Acer CineCrystal Technology, 1366 x 768 native resolution in 16:9 aspect ratio, high brightness 200nits, supporting simultaneous multi-window viewing via Acer GridVista 16 ms response time, powered by integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 4500MHD Graphics Chipset with up to 1695-MB of shared video memory supporting Microsoft DirectX 9 Dual independent display support with 16.7 million colors.
Connectivity: For connectivity to various devices, the new Acer Aspire 3935 notebook PC comes equipped with integrated Intel/PRO Wireless 5100 InviLink 802.11b/g/Draft-n Wireless LAN connection (with 3G data module available as option for broadband access), and Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR connection. In addition the notebook also features 10/100/1000 gigabit Ethernet network card for wired networking, an integrated 56 kbps v.92 fax/modem, one Type II PC Card slot, AC/MC 97 soundcard and HDMI digital Out Port.
The Acer Aspire 3935 notebook PC also features integrated 1.3 Megapixels Crystal Eye WebCam and built-in Microphone providing easy video conferencing via VoIP and video IM chats. In addition, the notebook is equipped with Acer Bio-Protection fingerprint reader and Acer Touch-Sensitive Hotkeys.
The notebook, however lacks HDMI digital port seen in almost every new notebook launched in recent times and eSATA power USB port.
With Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 preinstalled the Acer Aspire 3635 notebook PC also sports internal 5-in-1 media card reader – supporting Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO), xD-Picture Card (xD) cards and sports 2 USB v2.0 ports.
The Acer Aspire 3935 notebook’s most notable feature is its longer battery life of 4 hours and 50 odd minutes and the battery is much lighter 39-Wh 4-cell type compared to other notebooks in 13 inch space. A bigger, 8-cell battery is also available which can provide upto 8 hours 30 min battery life. Acer QuicCharge technology enables 80% charge in 1 hour or 2-hour rapid charge system-off.
