Nokia 6700 Classic Mobile Phone Launched
Nokia has today announced 3G capable Nokia 6700 Classic mobile phone in India, featuring 2.2 inch 16M color capable TFT display, powerful 5.0 Megapixels Autofocus camera with video recording, MP3 Media player, FM Radio, bluetooth, and Built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support.
The new quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 MHz network and 3G HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz network ready Nokia 6700 Classic mobile phone is equipped with 2.2-inch 240 x 320 pixels TFT color display capable of 16 Million colors and comes with 170-MB internal shared memory allowing 2000 number phonebook and upto 20 received, 20 dialed and 20 missed calls records.
The Nokia 6700 Classic phone is also equipped with microSD memory card slot offering maximum of 8-GB expandable memory.
The new Nokia 6700 Classic mobile phone offers advanced 5.0 Megapixel digital camera having Carl Zeiss optics with maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and upto 20x digital zoom option. The digital camera also sports integrated flash ( 2 LED system) with automatic on/off feature and has autofocus feature.
The camera allows many preset settings including white balance, three quality levels and many picture effects. The still pictures can be shot in both portrait and landscape modes and there is a option for sequence shots.
In addition digital camera also allows 1600×1200 (2MP), 1152×864 (1.3 MP), 640×480 (VGA), and 320×240 (CIF) pixels and is also capable of video capturing in 4 different resolutions – 640 x 480 (VGA resolution), 320×240, 176×144, and 129×96 pixels with live sound it support video playback of MPEG4, 3GPP and h.263 video file formats.
The supported still image formats includes JPEG, JPEG2000, EXIF 2.2, GIF 87/89, PNG, BMP (W-BMP), MBM, and SVG . A second VGA resolution camera having 640 x 480 pixels resolution allows video calling.
In addition, Nokia 6700 Classic mobilephone allows DVD-like quality video recording in VGA format (640 x 480 pixels) in 30 fps, CIF format in 352 x 288 pixels, QCIF format in 176 x 144 pixels or SubQCIF: 128 x 96 pixels resolution in 15 frames per second (fps). The captured video can also be edited on the mobile phone itself.
The Nokia 6700 Classic mobilephone also sports built-in GPS receiver with integrated Assisted Global Positioning System (A-GPS) that links to both satellites and local networks for navigation and it comes with pre-installed Nokia Maps v2.0 application and free downloadable maps of over 100 countries. The Nokia Map v2.0 software includes maps of 8 Indian cities with 52 categories of points of interest allowing users access places, travel destinations, bars/cafes/restaurants and hotel locations for local usage. The handset also offers a unique feature viz location tagger that allows users automatically tag location details with pictures (like date and time etc) along with the geographical coordinates data.
Nokia 6700 Classic phone also features newer version of Nokia Maps v2.0, which includes terrain and satellite maps, allowing users to plan their journey on their PC and then synchronize the same to their handset.
Media player in Nokia 6303 Classic mobile phone supports large range of audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, H.263, H.264, WMA and MP4 and audio player software also offers album art, playlists and 5-band equaliser and audio visualisations along with universal 3.5-mm Audio Adapter to plug-in your choice of headphones.
Running Symbian’s S40 operating system the new Nokia 6303 Classic mobile phone sports multi-functional 5-way navigation key and it also offers Video streaming (3GPP), integrated FM stereo radio (no recording) and it full-screen view finder. FM stereo radio supporting Visual Radio feature.
The Nokia 6700 Classic mobilephone features exhaustive options for data connection including GPRS Class 32 with upto 107 kbps speed connection, HSCDS (High speed Cable Data Service connection), EDGE Class 32 with upto 296kbps speed connection, 3G HSDPA network connection with upto 10 Mbps data speed, and wireless Bluetooth v2.0 connection with A2DP.
The EDGE network connection functionality offered by Nokia 6700 Classic phone allows ultra fast data transmissions of upto 296 kbps speed, and faster downloads and file transfers, while Bluetooth technology enables communication with other Bluetooth compatible devices and gadgets such as color printers, PDAs and laptops for instant sync-ups, data transfer and print jobs in a flash.
Available in Silver Metallic, Black, and Matte gray colrors, the Nokia 6700 Classic mobile phone is also equipped with standard fast USB v2.0 port (miniUSB port) which is used for both power recharging and PC connectivity for data exchange.
The Nokia 6700 Classic mobile phone also supports MMS (Multimedia Message Service) for Multimedia text messaging allowing sounds, pictures, animations and formatted text in SMS message and its integrated image blog features allows sharing photos instantly by directly posting them onto any blog site.
