LG has today launched a new 22-inch energy saving LG W2252TE Widescreen LCD monitor which features incredible fast 2ms response time, an true widescreen aspect ratio of 16:10, a DFC contrast ratio of 10,000:1, LG’s unique FLATRON f-engine image correction technology, HDMI port and 1680 x 1050 native resolution with upto 16.2 million colours.
Available in Black Glosy color, the LG W2252TE 22-inch energy saving Widescreen LCD monitor features 22-inch (55.8 cm) WUXGA TFT Active Matrix LCD display with anti-glare screen with hard coating, 0.282x 0.282 mm Dot pitch, fast response time of 2 milliseconds, high brightness of 250 cd/m2, high a high DFC contrast ratio of 10,000:1 in 16:10 aspect ratio offering maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels in WUXGA widescreen format at 60 Hz with capacity to display upto 16.2 million colors.

50% Energy Saving
The LG W2252TE 22-inch LCD monitor only consumes less than 22 watts under normal conditions which translates to about 36 to 45 watts (about 50%) of most of the other 22-inch LCD monitors in the market today. And in sleep mode, the W2252TE LCD monitor is claimed to consume mere 0.3 watts as against 1 or 2 watts in other same size monitors.
Menu Function
The LG W2252TE 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor offers several user friendly features including automatic brightness adjustment, automatic resolution adjustment, flexible height settings, wide viewing angles for sharing content, and high Contrast Ratio.
The LG FLATRON W2252TE LCD monitor is equipped with a Fun Key button in front, emblazoned with LG’s signature smiling logo which on pressing launches a special menu with features that will appeal to serious gamers, fans of online video and even the visually impaired.
Main functions include 4:3 aspect ratio in Wide, ez Zooming, Photo Effects and sound adjustments. A 4:3 in Wide function coverts 4:3 sources to true widescreen format, providing a more immense environment.
EZ Zooming: Another of the W2252TE 22-inch LCD monitor’s easy to access features is a ez Zooming, allows viewers to lower / adjust the monitor’s resolution by pressing the Fun Key on keyboard. This provides larger icons and text making the screen easier to read by those with less than perfect eyesight. The monitor uses a native resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels, which is adjusted to 1440 by 900 in ez Zooming mode.
LG FLATRON f-engine technology
The LG W2252TE 22-inch LCD monitor is also equipped with LG’s FLATRON f-engine technology which is claimed to be world’s first picture correction technology chip incorporated in LCD monitors itself that results in enhancing the image quality. Digital Fine Contrast (DFC) Technology
The LG W2252TE 22-inch LCD monitor features Digital Fine Contrast (DFC) technology which auto-adjusts the brightness of screen and maximize the contrast between black and white. The 10,000:1 DFC Contrast Ratio ensures better overall front-of-screen performance.
The Digital Fine Contrast (DFC) technology offers users a clearer, crisper and brighter image. DFC operates in MOVIE MODE, which is optimized for maximum bright movie images and also suitable for moving images with various brightness levels.
The Digital Fine Contrast (DFC) technology, enhances LCD contrast ratio up to 10,000:1 and also enables automatic detection of the image signal, and controls the backlight brightness accordingly.
LG’s DFC kicks in the Smart Function, that automatically sets up the optimum contrast ratio for each image allowing them to watch movies, animation, TV programs and even fast moving sports games on LCD monitors. DFC technology automatically analyzes the input image and then adjusts the contrast ratio for perfect picture quality. The special feature of DFC is most useful when displaying dark images.
In addition, due to the fact that LG’s DFC technology being able to automatically detect image source to adjust LCD panel back light, the LG W2252TE 22-inch energy saving widescreen LCD monitor consumes less power compared to conventional LCDs, which have the backlight always on.
