BenQ V2400W 24-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Launched
BenQ recently launched BenQ V2400W, 24-inch (60.96 cm) widescreen LCD monitor in India which features Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) technology delivering fast 2ms response time, 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and offers 160-degree viewing angle, maximum resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and offers HDMI port with HDCP and DVI-D ports for high-definition video connectivity.
Having ultra-thin width of only 24 mm, the new BenQ V2400W 24-inch Widescreen LCD monitor offers several user friendly features including automatic brightness adjustment, flexible height settings, and wide viewing angles for sharing content.
The BenQ V2400W 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor features 24-inch (60.96 cm) color TFT Active Matrix LCD display with anti-glare coating, 0.273 mm Dot pitch, ultra fast response time of 2 milliseconds using Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) technology (5-ms Typ.), brightness of over 250 cd/m2, high contrast ratio of 1000:1 (4000:1 in DCR) and it offers maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels in WUXGA widescreen format with capacity to render upto 16.2 million colors.
The BenQ V2400W 24-inch LCD monitor offers display area of 518.5 x 324 mm (L x B) and its horizontal refresh rate range is 31 kHz – 83 kHz and vertical refresh rate range is 55 Hz – 76 Hz.
BenQ has adapted the new injection technology viz RHCM (Rapid Heat cycle Molding) processing, in designing the glossy curved rear of the BenQ V2400W LCD monitor body. Unlike traditional injection processes, RHCM allows an exceptional weld-free surface appearance, enhancing the esthetics many folds.
Digital Connectivity
BenQ V2400W widescreen LCD monitor allows digital ports for uncompressed images transfer with the highest viewing quality from a variety of digital content services including a 1080p full HD port and HDMI port With 5GBps digital transit allows connection to game consoles, DVD players, or PCs. In addition, the LCD monitor is equipped with standard D-Sub 15-pin VGA port.
Dynamic Contrast Ratio technology
The BenQ V2400W 24-inch LCD monitor features Dynamic Contrast Ratio which auto-adjusts the brightness of screen and maximize the contrast between black and white. The Contrast Ration ranges from 1000:1 – 4000:1 under DCR.
The Dynamic Contrast Ratio (DCR) technology, enhances LCD contrast ratio up to 4000:1 and also enables automatic detection of the image signal, and controls the backlight brightness accordingly. This feature along with the high resolution panel is ideal for movie production and engineering applications.
The Dynamic Contrast Ration (DCR) technology, allows user to be able to experience lower black levels while watching darker movies or video games and in addition, due to the fact that DCR technology being able to automatically detect image source to adjust LCD panel back light, the BenQ V2400W 24-inch monitor consumes less power compared to conventional LCDs, which have the backlight always on.
Widescreen
As against regular LCD monitors which offers aspect ratio of 4:3 (screen width : screen height), the new BenQ V2400W 24-inch Widescreen LCD monitor offers expanded aspect ratio of 16:10 providing more displayable horizontal area. The widescreen panoramic aspect ratio of 16:10 allows 24-inch (60.96 cm) side area allowing one to display and comfortably view 2 application windows side by side. At the same time, each window preserves the aspects of the content being displayed in, such as wide format notebook, DVD movies, and games in their original glory without cropping or compression.
For example, one can run browse the Internet or edit document or run any application for that matter in one virtual display area while watching a movie on the right. Any movies, video games, etc, maintains the original aspect ratio, in any dual-screen area without any cropping or compression.
The wide screen help increase work efficiency by allowing multiple windows with increased visibility. The Windows Vista’s sidebar on the right side of the screen can displays multiple applications and allows easy access to frequently used tools.

Senseye+Photo Technology :
BenQ V2400W LCD monitor also offers BenQ’s exclusive ‘Senseye technology’ which allows four preset modes viz Standard, Dynamic, Movie, and Photo mode, that provide instant optimized settings for different usage scenarios.
Senseye+Photo technology is an enhanced version that adds sRGB mode to support industry standard sRGB color space allowing consistent results while viewing and manipulating images on an BenQ’s E Series LCD flat monitors and on other sRGB-compliant devices.
