LG Bullet KG288 Entry-Level Mobile Phone
LG has announced in India its new entry-level budget GSM mobile phone, the LG Bullet KG288 which features 65K colors display, integrated FM Radio, option for Hindi language in SMS and system menu and a unique anti-theft mobile tracker.
Identical in size and features to LG Bullet 271 mobile phone, the new LG Bullet KG288 mobile phone is a dual-band GSM 900 / GSM 1800 ready handset which offers 1.5-inch, 65K colors, 128 x 128 pixels resolution TFT color display in candy bar style design.
The mobile phone has 16-MB internal memory allowing upto 300 entries phonebook with 10 dialed, 10 received, 10 missed calls recrords and 100 SMS message memory. No memory card slot for expanded memory is provided.
The new budget LG Bullet KG288 mobile phone also sports integrated FM radio tuner with 12 stations memory and it also allows FM alarm feature. The handset allows listening to FM radio thru speaker phone or using headset which is supplied free.
The LG Bullet KG288 handset also feature built-in handsfree Speakerphone and offers option for Hindi language SMS and Menu.
Anti-theft Mobile Tracker
The LG Bullet KG288 mobile handset also sports a unique Anti-theft Mobile Tracker which can help trace the handset if stolen. Here is how you can setup this feature in this handset:
1. Locate ‘mobile tracker’ option under Tools menu
2. Enter default password ‘0000? and press OK
3. Go to option 1 and select ‘on’
4. Change your password immediately
5. Go to option 3 and select New
6. Enter you name and two alternate mobile numbers
If LG Bullet KG288 mobile phone handset is stolen and the SIM is removed after having activated a new SIM card in the same handset, the two alternate mobile numbers a user had entered while setting up the anti-theft feature would automatically receive the SMS informing about the new SIM number and the location of the theft. This info can be used for filing your police complain.
