Nokia E51 Mobile Phone
Nokia has announced in India the new Nokia E51 mobile phone , which sports a very large 2-inch 16.7 million colors QVGA TFT display and features 2.0 megapixel camera, mp3 media player, FM Radio, micoSD memory expansion card, EDGE, HSCSD, 3G, Bluetooth with A2DP and option for indoor WLAN connection using UMA technology.
Sporting a sleek stainless steel design with 12 mm thickness, the new Nokia E51 mobile phone offers seamless voice and data mobility across GSM cellular network (triband GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900) and indoor WLAN networks via Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology allowing benefits of standard landline along with advanced mobile phone. The WLAN allows Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless network connectivity.
The dual-mode Nokia E51 mobile phone allows VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) service in addition to traditional GSM networks.
Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology used in Nokia E51 mobile phone allows this handset seamless access both GSM network or a broadband Internet-connected WLAN network for mobile services. Wireless LAN using UMA technology provides excellent coverage and sound quality, even in areas where mobile phone reception is generally of poor quality.
The new Nokia 51 mobile phone is, evolution of earlier released Nokia 50 and it is equipped with 2-inch (31 x 42 mm) 240 x 320 pixels resolution (TFT) QVGA display capable of displaying massive 16.7 million true colors in a rugged stainless steel frame which has metalic finish borders.
The new Nokia E51 GSM/UMA mobile phone features 2.0 Megapixel digital camera with maximum 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution. The camera also offers 8x digital zoom facility, and allows full screen viewfinder. Camera does not offer any integrated falsh and is not autofocus. The digital camera in Nokia E51 mobilephone is also capable of recording video in QVGA format at upto 15 fps.
The Nokia E51 mobile phone also offers integrated MP3 media player which supports MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, H.263, H.264 music file formats. The E51 mobilephone also features integrated FM stereo radio with Visual Radio feature and is capable of playing streaming video (3GPP).
New Nokia E51 mobile phone comes with massive 130 MB of internal shared memory plus 96 MB SDRAM and handset also supports microSD memory card with maximum of 4-GB of expandable memory to help store large volume of music, videos, and photos.
Supporting Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, the Nokia E51 handset allows almost unlimited number phonebook, option for photo call and upto 20 dialed, 20 received, and 20 missed calls record.
For data connectivity, the new Nokia E51 mobile phone offers EDGE (EGPRS) Class 10 with 296 kbps speed, GPRS Class 10 with upto 48 kbps speed connection, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless network connection using Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology, HSCSD (High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data) connection, 3G functionality (HSDPA) with upto 3.6 Mbps speed, Infrared Port IrDA (115 kbps) and USB v2.0 miniUSB port.
In addition, Nokia E51 also offers built-in Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP connection. The wireless Bluetooth v2.0 connection with Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) feature offered by Nokia E51 mobilephone allows listening to music on bluetooth compatible headset absolutely wire-free and in full stereo.
The EDGE Class 10 network connection offered by Nokia E51 mobilephone handset allows ultra fast data transmissions, and faster downloads and file transfers, while Bluetooth technology enables communication with other Bluetooth compatible devices and gadgets such as color printers, PDAs and laptops for instant sync-ups, data transfer and print jobs in a flash.
Other features of Nokia E51 mobile phone includes built-in Loudspeaker for integrated handsfree speaker, push to talk facility, voice commands and voice recording.
The Nokia E51 allows integration to a wide range of corporate business email solutions including Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email and Mail for Exchange to communicate with Microsoft Exchange Server. The E51 handset is also capable of integration with corporate telephony systems (PBX) through Nokia Mobile Unified Communications application solutions.
The new Nokia E51 mobile phone comes with Li-Ion 1070 mAh (BP-6MT) standard battery which offers upto 325 hours of standby time and upto 4 hours of talk time with full charge.
