Samsung S730 Digital Camera
The Samsung�s new ‘S’ Series Point & Shoot Samsung Digimax S730 digital camera is 7.2 Megapixel resolution camera equipped with 3x optical zoom, 5X digital zoom in both still and movie modes, a large 2.5 inch color LCD display and is equipped with Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) technology.
Samsung Digimax S730 features a 6.1 Mega Pixel 1/2.5 inch CCD and in addition to its 3x optical zoom, the digital camera also provides 5x digital zoom, achieving a total zoom of 15x when used together.
Like their other recently lauhced digital cameras, the Samsung Digimax S730 features Auto Macro, to take close-up pictures automatically even if close-up mode is not set.
The Samsung Digimax S730 digital camera also offers high-speed USB v2.0 support for connection to computers and printers which allows upto 480 Mbps data transfer rates. Video clips can be recorded at 30 frames per second and standard 640 X 480 VGA resolution with sound.
The new Samsung Digimax S730 digital camera has 16-MB of internal memory for storage with a Secure Digital slot supporting SD and MMC memory card for additional external storage of upto 2-GB.
Weighing about 136 gms, the Samsung Digimax S730 digital camera works on two AA type alkaline or NiMH type of batteries and it has compact dimensions of 99.8x 62.8×25.7mm.
Weighing about 136 grams without batteries and memory card, the Samsung S730 digital camera can capture still pictures in JPEG/EXIF format with maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304 pixels (7.0 megapixel).

Samsung Digimax S730 digital camera also has an easy mode dial that allows the user to move between portrait, night pictures, and movies, swiftly, depending on the shooting conditions. For crystal-clear images under many lighting conditions, the S630 features seven scene modes including: Landscape, Close-Up, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, and Beach & Snow.
Samsung S730 digital camera also offers Advanced Shake Reduction function (ASR) which reduces the effects of camera shake in low light conditions. Flash photography can sometimes result in harsh, over-exposed images, but ASR guarantees bright, crisp and natural images without using a flash at all.
The Samsung S730 has a larger 2.5 inch color LCD screen which is capable of 230,000 pixels resolution ideal for previewing picture or for view finding. Printing out pictures is easy via PictBridge which enables an image to be printed directly to a connected compatible printer without requring the PC.
For the ultimate in creative control the camera also features a Special Effects Hot Key, putting several special effects such as Color Effect, Highlight effect (which keeps the subject in sharp focus while putting the rest of the image into soft focus), Photo Frame, allowing the user to choose from nine different types of photo frames to shoot their subjects in; and Composite Shot feature that allows the user to take two to four images and save them into a single file.
Built-in Image Editing
Samsung Digimax S730 digital still cameras also feature a built-in image editing function allowing users to edit a variety of images without requring any PC based software tools. The Trimming function can be used to cut an undesired part of an image and save only the required part. The Rotating function allows users to rotate an image in the desired direction and save it.
The Samsung S730 camera�s Auto Macro function automatically adjusts shooting distance and focus ensuring the clarity of images regardless of distance between camera and subject. By using the macro button, users can set the camera to automatically adjust distance and focus from between 5 centimeters to infinity.
Samsung Digimax S730 digital camera also features video recording capabilities which allows recording video clips of small duration in MPEG4, VGA, 30fps or 15 fps in 640 x 480,or 640 x 480, or 320 x 240, or 320 x 240, or 160 x 120, or 160 x 120 with 3X Optical Zoom and Mute during Zoom Operation.
Advanced features allow “in camera” movie editing and a pause function during recording. The Samsung S730 also features robust movie clip editing functions, which allow users to perform some very advance movie editing without the aid of a computer or third party editing software. The S730 also includes a unique successive video function that allows shooters to pause and resume video recording at any time and merge multiple video files into one single composite movie all without requiring need of any PC and software.
