Nokia 7500 Prism Mobile Phone With OLED Display
Nokia has announced in India the new Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone, which has a unique Prism style design and it features a very large 2.0 inch 16.7 million colors battery saving OLED (organic Light-Emitting Diode) display, 2.0 megapixel digital camera with 8X zoom, MP3 media player, and micoSD memory card support.
Sporting a sleek slim Prism style design, the new Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone offers seamless voice and data mobility across GSM cellular network; triband 900/1800/1900 MHz.
Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone sports a unique black color cover made up entirely of plastic material. Though parts of the back and sides are made in matt plastic, most of the handset body is made of black shiny plastic.
The Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone’s unique cover design incorporates three dimensional prism like geometrics patterns used in designing triangular mosaic keypad and other buttons. It has sharp-angled lines, geometric patterns and graphic light-refracting colors in its front side body cover rendering a very unique design pattern.
Another unique feature in Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone handset is the large 2-inch (31 x 42 mm) 240 x 320 pixels resolution color display which is designed using OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), the latest display technology which uses much less battery power than an standard LED or LCD screen. The display is capable of supporting massive 16.7 million true colors.
The new Nokia 7500 Prism comes with advance 2.0 Megapixel digital camera with maximum 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution. The camera also offers 8x digital zoom facility and integrated flash along with allowing full screen viewfinder.
Though digital camera in Nokia 7500 Prism handset offers white balance settings, as well as three quality settings going form basic to high, it seriously lacks autofocus capability ruling out any macro object shooting. Picture quality of this handset is quite mediocre as compared to any 2.0 MP Sony-Ericsson mobile phone and there is no lens cover provided for protection from scratches either.
The digital camera in Nokia 7500 Prism mobilephone is also capable of recording video in QCIF format (176 x 144 pixels) which is quite outdated in today’s time.
The Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone also offers integrated MP3 media player which supports MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, H.263, and H.264 music file formats with playback of up to 9 hours.
The mobilephone handset also features integrated FM stereo radio with Visual Radio feature. Visual Radio allows listening to music and interact with your favorite radio stations, finding out what song is playing, who sings it, and other artist information, and enter contests and answer surveys, or voting for your favorite songs.
New Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone comes with massive 70 MB of internal shared memory and handset also supports microSD memory card with maximum of 4-GB of expandable memory to help store large volume of music, videos, and photos. The handset allows Mass Storage feature allowing access to microSD memory card directly from a PC.
Strangely, Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone does NOT supports microSD card hot-swapping.
Supporting Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, the Nokia 7500 Prism handset allows upto 1000 number phonebook, photo call and upto 20 dialed, 20 received, and 20 missed calls record.
For data connectivity, the new Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone offers EDGE (EGPRS) Class 10 with 236.8 kbps speed, GPRS Class 10 with upto 48 kbps speed connection, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless network connection using Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology, and HSCSD (High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data) connection.
EDGE network connection in Nokia 7500 Prism allows ultra fast data transmissions, and faster downloads and file transfers, while Bluetooth technology enables communication with other Bluetooth compatible devices and gadgets such as color printers, PDAs and laptops for instant sync-ups, data transfer and print jobs in a flash.
In addition, Nokia 7500 Prism also offers built-in Bluetooth v2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) and A2DP. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) Bluetooth for stereo sound allows listning to music on bluetooth compatible headset absolutely wire-free. In addition, the new Nokia 7500 Prism is equipped with stereo FM radio with visual radio, auto-tuning and 9 station preset memory.
Other features of Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone includes built-in Loudspeaker for integrated handsfree speaker, push to talk facility, IMAP4 idle, push email with attachments, voice commands and voice recording, .
