Nokia 6301 Mobile Phone
Nokia has announced in India the new Nokia 6301 Slim mobile phone, which is just 13.1 mm thick and sports a very large 2-inch 16.7 million colors QVGA TFT display, 2.0 megapixel camera, mp3 media player, micoSD memory expansion card and option for indoor WLAN connection using UMA technology.
Sporting a sleek stainless steel design, the new Nokia 6301 mobile phone offers seamless voice and data mobility across GSM cellular network (triband GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900) and indoor WLAN networks via Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology allowing benefits of standard landline along with advanced mobile phone.
Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology used in Nokia 6301 mobile phone allows this handset seamless access both GSM network or a broadband Internet-connected WLAN network for mobile services. Wireless LAN using UMA technology provides excellent coverage and sound quality, even in areas where mobile phone reception is generally of poor quality.
The new Nokia 6301 mobile phone is, evolution of earlier released Nokia 6300 and it is equipped with 2-inch (31 x 42 mm) 240 x 320 pixels resolution (TFT) QVGA display capable of displaying massive 16.7 million true colors in a rugged stainless steel frame which has metalic finish.
The new Nokia 6301 GSM/UMA mobile phone features 2.0 Megapixel digital camera with maximum 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution. The camera also offers 8x digital zoom facility, integrated flash and allows full screen viewfinder. The digital camera in Nokia 6301 slim mobilephone is also capable of recording video in QCIF format.
The Nokia 6301 slim mobile phone also offers integrated MP3 media player which supports MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, H.263, H.264 music file formats. The mobilephone also features integrated FM stereo radio with Visual Radio feature and is capable of playing streaming video (3GPP).
New Nokia 6301 slim mobile phone comes with massive 70 MB of internal shared memory and handset also supports microSD memory card with maximum of 4-GB of expandable memory to help store large volume of music, videos, and photos.
Supporting Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, the Nokia 6301 handset allows upto 1000 number phonebook, photo call and upto 20 dialed, 20 received, and 20 missed calls record.
For data connectivity, the new Nokia 6301 slim mobile phone offers EDGE (EGPRS) Class 10 with 236.8 kbps speed, GPRS Class 10 with upto 48 kbps speed connection, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless network connection using Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) technology, and HSCSD (High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data) connection.
In addition, Nokia 6301 also offers built-in Bluetooth v2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR).
Nokia 6301 mobile phone comes with a sleak desk stand - the Nokia Desk Stand DT-23 - which holds the phone and keep its battery charged while connected to WLAN using UMA technology.
Other features of Nokia 6301 slim phone includes built-in Loudspeaker for integrated handsfree speaker, push to talk facility, voice commands and voice recording.
