Acer Aspire 4920 Notebook PC
Acer has announced its brand new Acer Aspire 4920 notebook PC in India from the Gemstone series, which is powered by 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300, and it features 14.1 inch WXGA Widescreen display, integrated Wi-Fi Wireless LAN connectivity, Dolby surround system audio, integrated webcam with microphone and a 8X DVD writer.
Less than 2.6 kgs in weight, the Acer Aspire 4920 notebook PC is powered by 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300 with 2MB + 2MB (4-MB total) L2 Cache, which can deliver 800 MHz FSB with Intel 64 architecture support.
The new Acer Aspire 4920 gemstone series notebook features Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset with integrated 3D graphics using Santa Rosa platform, 1024-MB DDR II SDRAM, 667 MHz (max 4-GB using two soDIMM modules), 160-GB Serial-ATA hard disk drive (5400 rpm) and 8x DVD Super Multi Double Layer DVD writer.
The multiformat DVD writer is capable of burning both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer DVD+/-R optical discs allowing storage of up to 8.5 GB of data on each dual-sided DVD media. In addition the DVD writer can also burn 40x CD-R and 24x CD-RW medias.
The Acer Aspire 4920 notebook comes with a ceramic-finish pearl grey interior and a Holographic satin-finish experior cover along with featuring an attractive neon-blue multimedia light-strip also called e-Technology Toolbar by Acer.
Acer Aspire 4920 notebook is equipped with 14.1-inch (35.81cm ) WXGA TFT LCD display with Acer CrystalBrite Technology which offers maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels powered by Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (Intel GMA X3100) with up to 358 MB of Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology 4.0, supporting simultaneous multi-window viewing via Acer GridVista technology, and supporting Microsoft DirectX 9.0 along with offering integrated 3D graphics.
For connectivity to various devices, the new Acer Aspire 4920 notebook PC comes equipped with integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG1, 2 (dual-band tri-mode 802.11a/b/g) Wi-Fi network connection and Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR high speed data connection.
In addition the notebook also features 10/100/1000 gigabit Ethernet network card for wired networking, an integrated 56 kbps v.92 fax/modem, one Type II PC Card slot, and AC/MC 97 soundcard.
Acer Aspire 4920 notebook is also equipped with integrated DOLBY Certified Surround Sound System with Dolby Home Theater audio enhancement featuring Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Live, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital Stereo Creator, Dolby Headphone, and Dolby Virtual Speaker technologies. Notebook comes with two built-in Acer 3DSonic stereo speakers and two built-in Stereo Microphones.
The Aspire 4920 notebook PC also come equipped with an integrated Acer Crystal Eye 1.3 Megapixels WebCam supporting enhanced Acer PrimaLite technology featuring smart built-in angle enabling productive multi-way conferencing.
In addition with two built-in stereo microphones it is easy for video conferencing via VoIP and video IM chats. Two built-in stereo microphones features beam forming, echo cancellation, and noise suppression technologies for clear and noice free voice transfer.
With Microsoft Vista Home Premium preloaded, the new Acer Aspire 4920 notebook PC also sports integrated 5-in-1 media card reader - supporting Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO), xD-Picture Card (xD) cards.

Weighing 2.6 kgs, Acer Aspire 4920 notebook PC is equipped 44.4 W 4000 mAh 6-cell Li-ion battery pack which can provide upto 2.6 hrs backup. The battery pack takes just 2.5-hour for rapid charge system with system off and 3.5-hour for full charging while being used. The Acer ePowerManagement allows user to choose the power management setting to extend the battery time.
