Nokia 6070 Mobile Phone
Nokia announced early this year a new budget trilband GSM mobile phones, Nokia 6070 in India, featuring 65K color TFT screen, VGA resolution camera with video recording, FM Radio, and fast HSCSD and EDGE network connection for high speed data transfer.
Also called ‘one touch photo phone’ and almost identical in respects of features and price with Nokia 5070 mobile phone, the triband GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 MHz network ready Nokia 6070 mobile phone is equipped with 1.7-inch (128�160 pixels) TFT color display supporting 65,536 colors, and comes with total 16 MB internal memory (3.2 MB user memory) but does not offer support for memory card slot.
Running Symbian�s S40 operating system the new Nokia 6070 mobile phone sports integrated FM stereo radio (no recording) with AMR audio specification for better audio quality.
The Nokia 6070 mobile phone sports VGA resolution digital camera offering upto 640�480 pixels still photo resolution in addition to video capture and playback in sub-QCIF/H.263 format.
The Nokia 6070 mobile phone handset also offers email client application - TCP/IP based; IMAP4, POP3, SMTP with support for sending email via standard SMS message. In addition the mobile phone also offers Nokia Xpress audio messaging for sending a voice or sound clip via MMS.
Available in two colours, black and bronze the new Nokia 6070 mobile phone offers standard GPRS Multislot Class 10 connection with maximum data transfer speed of upto 80 kbps in addition of ultrafast data transfer options using EDGE Multishot Class 10 with upto 177.6 kbps speed and HSCSD (high-speed circuit-switched data) with transfer speed upto 43.2 kbps.
The Nokia 6070 also sports integrated Infrared port and USB v2.0 miniUSB port but lacks Bluetooth connection support. It also lacks a media player.
The Nokia 6070 supports voice recording, voice dialing, and voice memo and Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, for recording and sending voice messages. Allowing Java MIDP 2.0 download, the Nokia 6070 comes with a lot of games including Sudoku, Space Mahjong, and Canal Control etc.
Other features includes WAP 2.0/xHTML Browser, wide range of ringing tones including MP3, AMR, True Tones and MIDI/polyphonic Ringtones, DRM (Digital Rights Management) release 1.0, WAP/xHTML browser, Java MIDP 2.0, and built-in handsfree speaker phone.
Nokia 6070 mobile phone comes with a standard 760 mAh (BL-5B) battery which provides up to 3 hours of talktine and up to 288 hours of standby time on full charge.
Weighing about 88 grams, the new Nokia 6070 handset is quite handy with compact size of 105.4 x 44.3 x 18.6 mm.
