Nokia 5070 Mobile Phone
Nokia has announced in April’07 a new trilband budget GSM mobile phones, Nokia 5070 in India, featuring 65K color TFT screen, VGA resolution camera with video recording, FM Radio, and fast HSCSD and EDGE connectivity options.
The triband GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 MHz network ready Nokia 5070 mobile phone is equipped with 1.7-inch (128�160 pixels) TFT color display supporting 65,536 colors, and comes with total 16 MB internal memory (4.3 MB user memory) with NO support for any sort of memory/media card.
The Nokia 5070 mobile phone sports VGA resolution VGA camera offering upto 640×480 pixels still image resolution. It also offers video(sub-QCIF/H.263) Video Capture and playback.
The Nokia 5070 mobile phone handset also offers email client application - TCP/IP based; IMAP4, POP3, SMTP with support for sending email via standard SMS message. In addition the mobile phone also offers Nokia Xpress audio messaging for sending a voice or sound clip via MMS.
Running Symbian�s S40 operating system the new Nokia 5070 mobile phone sports integrated FM stereo radio (no recording) and it full-screen view finder feature.
Available in three colours, blue, black and bronze the new Nokia 5070 mobile phone along with standard GPRS Multislot Class 10 connection also offers ultrafast data transfer options using HSCSD (high-speed circuit-switched data) and EDGE Multislot Class 10, 236.8 kbps speed connection.
In addition, the Nokia 5070 also sports integrated Infrared port and USB v2.0 miniUSB port but lacks Bluetooth support. It also lacks media player.
The Nokia 5070 supports voice recording, voice dialing, and voice memo and Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, for recording and sending voice messages. Allowing Java MIDP 2.0 download, the Nokia 5070 comes with a lot of games including Sudoku, Space Mahjong, and Canal Control etc.
Other features includes WAP 2.0/xHTML Browser, wide range of ringing tones including MP3 ringtones, true tones, and MIDI/polyphonic ringtones, DRM (Digital Rights Management) release 1.0, WAP/xHTML browser, Java MIDP 2.0, and built-in handsfree speaker phone.
Nokia 5070 mobile phone comes with a standard 860 mAh (BL-5B) battery which provides up to 3.5 hours of talktine and up to 300 hours (about 16 days) of standby time on full charge.
Weighing about 88 grams, the new Nokia 5070 handset is quite handy with compact size of 105.4 x 44.3 x 18.6 mm.
