Lenovo has released upgraded version 9458A18 of its popular Lenovo THINKPAD R60 range of Notebook PC which now sports 1.66 GHz Intel Core-Duo Processor T2300e and it features 15-inch XGA TFT display, Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG connection, Bluetooth v2.0 and longer battery backup of over 5 hours.

Now powered by 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor T2300e, the new Lenovo ThinkPad R60 notebook features 2x 2-MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB, mobile Intel 945PM Express Chipset, 512-MB DDR II SDRAM (667 MHz, PC2-5300) which is expandable to maximum 2-GB, 80-GB Serial-ATA-150 5400rpm 2.5-inch hard disk drive and standard removable 24x CD-RW/DVD Combo optical drive.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad R60 comes with 15-inch (38.1 cms) XGA TFT display which is powered by ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 graphic chipset with 64 MB shared RAM which delivers maximum of 1024 x 800 pixels resolution in 24-bit 16.7 million colors. The VGA port for external monitor is capable of providing upto 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution in 24-bit 16.7 million colors for external VGA monitor connection.

Weighing about 2.84 kgs (without power pack), the Lenovo ThinkPad R60 is equipped with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG / 802.11 a/b/g Network connection and offers 10/100 Gigabit Ethernet LAN controller, integrated Bluetooth v2.0, 56kbps V.92 fax/modem connection, 3 USB v2.0 ports along with standard VGA and TV-out ports.

Powered by 6-cell Lithium-ion – 4800 mAh rechargable battery, Lenovo ThinkPad R60 notebook PC can provide upto 5 hours of backup on full charge. The notebook also provides Trusted Platform Module (TPM 1.2) security chip for enhanced system security.
