Nokia N92 DVB-H Enabled Mobile Phone

Nokia has launched its new N-series multimedia 3G/GSM mobile phone, the Nokia N92, which sports an integrated Digital Video Broadcast Handheld (DVB-H) receiver supporting Live Broadcast Mobile TV with impressive audio quality and the ability to record live TV.

nokia-n92-mobile-phoneNational TV broadcaster, the Doordarshan, has recently launched its DVB-H Mobile TV services in Delhi region with initial offering of 8 popular free-to-air DD channels which includes DD National, DD News, DD Sports, DD Bharati, DD Urdu, DD Punjabi, DD Bangla, and DD Podhigai, supported on DVB-H compliant handsets like Nokia N92.

Nokia N92 is equipped with anti-glare 2.8-inch (42 x 57 mm) QVGA Active Matrix Colors TFT display having 320 x 240 pixels resolution capable of displaying upto 16 million colors. It also sports a 1.0-inch second external display having 128 x 36 pixels resolution with upto 65K colors.

Equipped with 80-MB internal dynamic memory, the Nokia N92 supports miniSD memory card slot with hot swap for easy memory card insertion and removal. Memory card reader can supporting up to 2-GB memory cards which can be also be used to store all sorts of data files.

The new Nokia N92 smartphone sports clamshell design which opens both ways - landscape and portrait display modes - and it features a 2.0 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth for stereo audio streaming. In addition the smartphone also offers 3G connectivity.

Nokia N92 smartphone allows video recording with CIF format in 352 x 288 pixels, QCIF format in 176 x 144 pixels or SubQCIF: 128 x 96 pixels resolution in 15 frames per second. The digital camera also sports integrated flash with automatic on/off feature.

Nokia N92 is PictBridge ready allowing transfer photos directly to compatible printer or kiosk via integrated Bluetooth wireless connection, memory card or directly to PictBridge compliant printer via USB cable. The handset also sports integrated print application which is quick and easy to use requiring no installation.

DVB-H enabled Nokia N92 mobile phone also features integrated Media Player which supports most of the popular audio formats including WMA, MP3, eAAC+, AAC+, AAC, M4A, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, 64 polyphonic MIDI , RealAudio Voice, RealAudio7, RealAudio8, and RealAudio10. The device also offers 5-channel graphic equalizer with integrated stereo speakers. The Nokia N92 allows easy fransfer of music from compatible PC or notebook PC using Nokia Music Manager software.

Nokia N92 also features Video player supporting H.263, MPEG-4, H.264 AVC, Real Video format files. In addition, the handset also features FM Tuner with Visual radio.

Equipped with Symbian OS, S60 3rd edition operating system, the new Nokia N92 offers fully integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b/g Wireless LAN connection and comes with multiple options for wireless and wired connectivity including GPRS multislot class 32, EDGE Class 10 (236.8 kbps speed), 3G Functionality at blazing 384 kbps speed, Bluetooth v2.0, Infrared port and USB v2.0 full speed via Pop-Port.

Weighing 191 grams, the Nokia N92 comes with 1500 mAh Li-Po Standard Battery offering upto 6 hrs of talk time with upto 9 days (216 hrs) of standby time.

The Nokia N92 comes with Nokia Compact Charger AC-4, Connectivity cable CA-53, Stereo Headset HS-23, 128 MB miniSD memory card, and CD-ROM containing Nokia PC Suite, Nokia Lifeblog, Home Media Server, and Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition software.
