Acer TravelMate 6292 Notebook PC
Acer has today introduced its new TravelMate 6292 notebook PC in India that is powered by Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology with Intel’s new Santa Rosa GM965 chipset and features 12.1-inch TFT display, integrated Intel PRO/Wireless network connection, Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR and external DVD writer.
The new Acer TravelMate 6292 notebook PC is powered by 2.0 GHz Intel Core2 Duo Processor T7100 with 4-MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB and it features Mobile Intel 965GM Express Chipset, 1024-MB DDR2 RAM (upgradeable to 4-GB using dual soDIMM modules), 160-GB Serial-ATA hard disk drive with Acer Disk Anti-Shock Protection (DASP) technology and internal 8X DVD-Super Multi double layer DVD writer.

The Acer 6292 notebook PC is equipped with 12.1-inch (30.73 cm) WXGA TFT CrystalBrite Widescreen Display which delivers maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels with 16.7 million colours having 16:10 viewing ratio capable of multi-window viewing via Acer GridVista technology using Intel’s latest integrated graphics chip, the GMA X3100 which has 8-MB of dedicated video RAM and it can dynamically use up to 358 MB of system memory to deliver stunning graphics for business and games applications alike. The Intel’s new X3100 integrated graphics chip deliver about 50% faster performance than Intel GMA950.

Widescreen Acer 6292 notebook PC provides option for 5-in-1 card reader supporting Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO) and xD-Picture Card (XD) and comes with integrated 1.3 megapixels digital webcam and built-in microphone.
Unlike Acer TravelMate 3012 which using Acer OrbiCam with Acer VisageON technology keeps the image in the center of the screen, the Acer TravelMate 6292 notebook PC has VGA-resolution Crystal Eye webcam in a fixed position lacking swivel option, and is located on the top side of the display. The webcam also lacks automatic face-tracking and zoom features.
For high quality audio, Acer 6292 notebook PC comes with 2 built-in Acer 3DSonic stereo speakers supporting Sound Blaster Pro and MS-Sound compatible audio output using Realtek high defination autio hardware and it offers built-in stereo microphone with Aver PureZone technology, three highspeed USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard/34 slot, a Type II PC Card slot and IEEE 1394 port.
