Canon IXUS 900Ti 10-Megapixels Digital Camera

Canon has recently announced its new Canon IXUS 900Ti ultra compact digital camera which boasts massive 10 Megapixel image resolution and offers 3X optical zoom with 4X continuous digital zoom (12X combined zoom), large high-resolution 2.5-inch LCD screen, and supports expandable memory card for variety of media cards.

canon-ixus900t1Equipped with 1/1.8 inch CCD Sensor, the Canon IXUS 900Ti ultra compact digital camera features DIGIC III processor, a large 2.5-inch LCD display, 32 MB internal memory with SD/MMC card expansion slot support, and USB v2.0 port.

The memory expansion slot supports Secure Digital (SD) Card, Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Card or MultiMediaCard (MMC).

Sporting Titanium body, the Canon IXUS 900Ti sports a high resolution (230K pixels) 2.5-inch (6.4 cm) P-Si TFT LCD screen which features a wide viewing angle for easy group viewing. The Image Inspection Tool enables instant checks for image sharpness.

A unique Face Detection AF/AE technology in INUX 900Ti boasts superb people shots by automatically detecting the subjects in the frame and setting the optimum focus and exposure.

Weighing about 165 gms, the new Canon IXUS 900Ti digital camera can capture still pictures in JPEG/EXIF format with maximum 3648 x 2736 pixels resolution (10 megapixel).

Other still pictures sizes offered by Canon IXUS 900Ti digital camera includes 3648 x 2736, 2816 x 2112, 2272 x 1704, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480, 3648 x 2048, and Postcard Date Imprint in 1600 x 1200 pixels.

The 10 megapixels Canon IXUS 900Ti digital camera offers 3X Optical zoom (35 mm equivalent: 36�108 mm) without any loss of picture quality. In addition, the camera also offers 4X continuous digital zoom with LCD preview in 0.2x increments, starting at 3X optical zoom with total combined zoom of 12X.

ISO Sensitivity

Offering variety of ISO sensitivity which includes AUTO, High ISO Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, the Canon IXUS 900Ti features a unique Low light shooting mode using Low-noise ISO 1600 which enables flash-free shooting indoors and at night. ISO 3200 Special Scene mode enables shooting in very dark environments where flash cannot be used. High ISO Auto mode automatically sets an optimal high ISO setting to allow for faster shutter speeds, reducing the effects of camera shake.

Video recording and playback

The new Canon IXUS 900Ti digital camera also allows video capture in standard AVI Motion JPEG compression MPEG2 format with audio (WAVE) recording which allows video capture in 1024 x 768 in 15 fps, VGA 640 x 480 in 30/15fps, QVGA 320 x 240 in 30/15fps, SVGA 160 x 120 in 15fps.

Shooting Modes

Canon IXUS 900Ti offers 18 shooting modes including 11 Special Scene modes to help with tricky environments. They include Auto, Manual, Digital Macro, Color Accent, Color Swap, Stitch Assist, Movie, Special Scene - Portrait, Night Snapshot, Kids & Pets, Indoor, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Aquarium, Underwater, ISO 3200.
