Nokia N95 Multimedia Mobile Phone

Nokia has announced its newest N series handset, the Nokia N95 multimedia smartphone, to be launched in India in few days, which incorporates a pioneering 2-way slide design and it features a large 2.8-inch QVGA display, 5 Megapixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics, MP3 media player, Bluetooth v2.0, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, built-in GPS navigation, direct TV out port, stereo FM Radio and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless connection.

nokia-n95 Quadband GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz ready new Nokia N95 sports a large 2.6-inch, 240 x 320 pixels wide QVGA display which is capable of displaying 16 million colors. In addition this nokia mobile phone also sports impressive 3D graphics for user interface and features built-in stereo speakers offering a 3D stereo effect and standard 3.5 mm audio jack.

Integrated 5.0 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics allows print quality still photography in maximum 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution and DVD quality video clips capturing in full 30 fps with 640×480 pixel VGA resolution. The Nokia N95 also sports a secondary VGA resolution camera for video calls.

The TV out feature and support for USB Plug and Play technology in Nokia N95 multimedia mobile phone allows viewing the captured contents on a compatible home TV by simple cable connection. In addition it comes complete with Quickoffice and pdf document viewer software to view MS office and psd documents received as email attachments or directly transfered from PC.

The Nokia N95 also features an advance MP3 media player which supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA audio files. It also features Stereo FM radio with visual radio feature and sports built-in Stereo Speakers.


Equipped with High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network connection which enable 10 times faster Internet access, email access, and video streaming as compared to 3G network, the new Nokia N95 mobile phone also supports GPRS Class 10, 32 – 48 kbps, EDGE Class 10, 236.8 kbps, Wireless LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, USB v2.0, Pop-Port and Infrared Port for wireless data connection.

The support for high-speed mobile networks in Nokia N95 making it easier to watch and record videos, listen to songs, take high-quality photos, browse the internet, or catch up on email while on the move.

Equipped with 160-MB of internal storage, the Nokia N95 supports microSD memory card for expanded memory which allows upto maximum 2-GB storage. It comes with 128-MB microSD card.

The Nokia N95 also includes integrated GPS (Global Positioning System) navigation application and a Maps application that has maps from over 100 countries, covering over 15 million points of global interest enabling users to explore the world, find specific routes or locate services such as restaurants and hotels.

In addition, the Nokia web browser application in Nokia N95 mobile phone endowed with additional features, such as a floating toolbar, password manager and auto complete, and web feeds with support for Atom and auto update.


Two way slide design concept

The Nokia N95 features a innovative 2-way slide design that makes it easy to switch between different modes, going from reading maps to watching a video with a simple slide. A numeric keypad slides out from one end of the device while dedicated media keys slide out from the opposite direction, converting the screen into full landscape mode.

Powered by Symbian OS 9.2, S60 rel. 3.1, the Nokia N95 mobile phone offers easier personalized to suit the user’s needs. It connects and interacts with some of the Internet’s most popular services, including Yahoo! Search, Amazon MobiPocket Reader, Google Search and Gmail etc. It also allows sharing captured photo by sending them directly to Flickr or blog site.


Weighing about 121 grams, the new Nokia N95 is equipped with Li-Ion 950 mAh (BL-5F) battery which offers upto 220 hours of stand-by time and upto 6 hours of talk-time on full changed.
