MBM’s new multimedia GSM mobile handset, MBM 2138i is a low cost trendy mobile phone with an all-round music playing function including MP3 media player and stereo FM radio tuner.
The new multimedia MBM mobile handset , MBM 2138i is a dual-band GSM 900 / GSM 1800 MHz network ready candy bar form factor type design handset and it features a large 1.5-inch, 128�128 (16384) pixels wide colour CSTN TFT display capable of displaying 65536 (16 bit) colors.
Weighing just about 87 grams, the new MBM 2138i mobile phone is equipped with MP3 media player, stereo FM radio tuner with 9 station memory and has speakerphone for hands free talking. The mobile phone has 2.5mm earphone jack as against almost standard 3.5mm jack.
The new MBM 2138i mobile phone has 1-MB of internal storage which allows storage of up to 200 phone numbers. It also supports MicroSD media card for expanded memory which allows upto 1-GB of maximum storage. A 32-MB MicroSD card comes with the mobile phone and 1-GB MicroSD card is available for about Rs. 695 in Indian market for use with this mobile phone.
Since MBM 2138i mobile phone does NOT have any USB connection option for transfering contents from PC, one would need to copy the desired music and other contents into MicroSD card to be used with the mobile phone.
In addition, the MBM 2138i mobile phone also does NOT have any connectivity options inclusing Bluetooth, WAP, and GPRS.
Besides 250 entrybook facility, other features of this mobile phone includes Organizer, Alarm clock, Calculator, Calendar, Stop Watch, Timer, and Memo pad and is available in black and silver colors.
Like all MBM mobile handsets, the MBM 2138i mobile phone also sports a standard rechargable Li-Ion battery which provides upto 3 hours of talk time on full charge and upto 200 hours of stand-by time.
